Tweek looked in the mirror and frowned at his reflection. Staring back at him was a shakey blonde hardly keeping a grip on the white coffee cup in his hands. His hair hadn't touched a brush all weekend, but Tweek didn't mind. It was how his hair normally was anyway. The darkness under his eyes always made him insecure. Something about not sleeping at night just made sense to Tweek; he figured if something were to be after him, they'd most likely strike after dark. Each night he'd sit down in front of his computer and gulp down a few cups of coffee so he wouldn't be off his guard. Helpful probably, but gave him bags under his eyes. His untucked, green, dress shirt was buttoned randomly and incorrectly; his jeans were ripped and worn. What exactly did Craig see in him? Tweek's face grew warm and red as he remembered his raven haired friend's confession the Friday night before. Bringing the coffee to his lips and taking a drink, he closed his eyes and imagined the edge of his cup as the soft pair of pink lips he felt at that sleepover. The warm liquid filled his mouth and slid past his throat as for one moment, all of his worries disappeared.
That moment was rudely interrupted by the loud beeping tone of his side table alarm clock. He switched it off, chugged the rest of his coffee, threw his shoes on, and grabbed his backpack. It was time to meet Craig at the bus stop like they usually had. Tweek was even more anxious than usual when he walked down the snow covered sidewalk. He hadn't seen Craig since the wonderful night they shared at his house. He smiled to himself, thinking of being held in his strong arms in the middle of the night, watching Red Racer. The butterflies that invaded his stomach when Craig pulled him into that first kiss... Tweek shook his head, snapping out of the trance as he was able to spot the bus stop from farther up ahead. He could see Kenny in his orange parka blur standing by whom Tweek assumed was Stan, Eric, and Kyle. It usually was. He could make out Token Black sitting beside Clyde at the curb; and finally he noticed a boy in blue. Craig Tucker. His boyfriend, Craig Tucker. At least that's what he had hoped. They hadn't made any relationships official, but Tweek had liked the thought of it. His chest got tight as he approached his friends and spoke.
"G-good morning e-everybody!" He put on a nervous smile.
"Good morning, Tweek!" Clyde smiled and replied. Token only looked up to wave and then put his focus back onto the 3ds his parents had gotten him. Tweek always wished he could have nice things like that, but he always ended up breaking them so his mom and dad stopped buying him things.
Tweek looked at Craig and smiled bigger, trying not to look so nervous. "Good m-morning, Craig!" He said.
The boy in the blue and yellow puff ball hat only shrugged and muttered, "I guess." Tweek felt his smile sink down into a quivering frown of disappointment. Craig always acted very stoically in front of groups of people, but something in Tweek was hoping he would act a little more affectionate than he had.
"Um... H-how did you sleep?" He muttered a little more timidly. Craig shrugged as the bus pulled up to them.
Hidden by the bus line, Craig suddenly held on to Tweek's hand to guide him into a bus seat to sit beside him. Craig actually held his hand. It didn't seem like anyone noticed, but it still made Tweek's hopes high and his face red. Even after they sat in their seat, Craig continued to hold onto his hand. The blonde looked up and could see the raven haired boy's blush as well. He was staring out the window trying to act stoic as usual. but he was blushing.
Eric and Kenny took the seat beside them. As Eric walked by and sat down he glanced at Craig's hand holding Tweek's. "Haha, Craig's a fag." He muttered to Kenny.
"Leave them alone, dude." The boy in the orange parka whispered back.
Craig stuck his hand out with his middle finger standing alone. "Fuck off, Eric. You're a fag." His voice was careless and monotone. Nothing like the sweet words he spoke couple nights ago.
"No, YOU'RE a fag. Look at you, holding hands with your boyfriend, hahaha!" Eric laughed and Kenny laughed a little too just before elbowing him and telling him to knock it off again. Craig only responded by flipping them both off and pulling his hand away from Tweek's.
Tweek's smile turned into a sad, blank expression, but he tried to act like he didn't care. However, he was very bad at that because Craig noticed and started to talk. "So… How was your weekend?" He said, smiling down at the blonde.
A giggle escaped Tweek's lips as he replied, "pretty g-great!".
Craig ruffled his fingers through his messy blonde hair and chuckled. "Yeah, mine too." When he pulled his hand back he sort of pulled Tweek to lean against him as he rested his head in Craig's shoulder. They both could hear Eric snickering again. Craig whispered, "Don't worry. He's gay for Butters and everyone knows it..."
"Hey, I fucking heard you, you sonuvabitch!" Eric screamed as they pulled into South Park High School. The bus driver hit the brakes suddenly.
"Shut the hell up and GET OUT!" She screamed back.
Tweek jerked foreward but Craig held onto him so he wouldn't hit the seat in front of them. He stuttered a 'thank you'. Craig nodded back.
Everyone got up and made their way inside, except for Craig who took Tweek's hand and pulled him behind the school.
"Wh-where are we going?!" Tweek squealled nervously. "G-gah! You're f-freaking me out!"
Craig squeezed his hand gently. "Don't freak out. Don't worry, you're going to be fine. Deep breaths." To this, Tweek nodded and took four slow breaths to calm himself down. They ended up in a small empty area that normally nobody visited in the morning time.
Suddenly Tweek was between the cold school wall and Craig pressing against him. He cupped the blonde's face and pressed his lips against his own, kissing him excitedly while holding his waist. As they pulled apart, Tweek was left with a surprised but dreamy expression.
Craig chuckled and smiled successfully. "You know..." He held Tweek's small waist and pulled him closer. "I had such a perfect time Friday night... I forgot to ask you to be my boyfriend…" Tweek's eyes lit up and widened, speechless. "So... Will you be my boyfriend, Tweek?" Craig repeated.
Tweek paused, unable to speak and unable to believe this was reality. He spoke quietly. "Y-yes p-please!"
Once more, the raven haired boy pushed him back against the concrete wall, kissing him again; not that Tweek could complain.
The kiss was rudely interrupted by the school bell. Craig pulled away and sighed. "Time to get to class. Here, I'll walk you to first period. I think I'm ditching math today anyways." Tweek nodded happily, then they walked together to the science wing hand in hand, only stopping to get Craig's hat taken away by a teacher; then once more for the teacher to give Craig detention for flipping said teacher off. They walked into Tweek's biology class and they turned to each other. "Well, i'll see you at lunch." Craig said.
"B-but you just got lunch d-detention..." The blonde replied almost snickering.
"Pshf, like I'm actually showing up to that. That's funny, babe." Craig pulled Tweek into a warm hug. "I'll see you later."
"FAG!" Eric called out from his desk, laughing like an idiot.
"Damn straight." Craig said before grabbing Tweek's shirt collar and kissing him happily. Eric stared back, wide eyed, as Craig flipped him off and walked out of the classroom. Tweek's heart fluttered as he watched him exit, starting for his seat in the back.
All throughout class Eric harrassed Tweek, calling him names and poking fun. "Who does that fag think he is, flipping me off?" Cartman said.
Tweek smiled, blushed, and replied, "my boyfriend, Craig Tucker."
