Maddy's P.O.V

Weeks have gone by and all I could think about was Rick , the things he said and his vows . Rick called a few times to check on me but I couldn't bring myself to telling him how I felt all I could do was to ask myself how have I gotten myself into this ?most important, how will I get out of it?. During the numerous of times Rick called he had said that he would be transferring to my school so he could be close to me but to get my mind off things I spent time with Andre, yeah he was not Rick but he helped ease my mind, today was Saturday and I don't feel like wakeing up , my mind is all over my room and the ceiling is the only thing I can focus my eyes on but as usual someone will bother me and I'll end up waking up earlier than I planned to.

"Honey "that's my cue mom obviously had something important to say because I told her I wanted to be in bed all day "Maddy !" Mom yells barging into my room and throws herself onto my bed as I cover my head with my duvet.

"Whaaat"I spit as he uncovers my head .

"Guess what "she spouts hitting my lap

"What ?"

" Erick will be away for a while so Kath invited me to go to "part of me just wants her to leave but she lookes happy so heck why not .

"New York "

"Yeah , I am so happy, I've always wanted to go there "

"When "embarrassment clouded her face

"Once more "she looked up and sadness attacked her eyes

"Today , well in four hours "suddenly the wall's were closing in who's gonna stay with me while she's away ? Who's gonna sleep by my side ? Who's gonna .. what am I doing ?, I can't deprive my mother off her happiness .

"For how long ?"

"Three weeks "

"As in twenty one days ?"

"There's a jinx, if things go well the trip might get extended"I lean in to give her a hug but she looks to the floor for my response.

"I'm so happy for you, you go out there and enjoy yourself ok ?"with wide eyes she looks up.

"Really ?"I can feel the excitement growing in her

"Heck yeah "

"Ok "she leans in for a hug and storms out . Back to sleep . After hours of sleep I finally wake up for a snack as I walk down down stairs I hear movement in the living room ,but there's no one here so I ignore it and walk to the fridge to get me something to eat and as I look through the fridge I feel some warm hands around my waist so I turned around and met eyes with Rick "Hy beautiful "he says analyzing me from head to toe . At first I thought of jumping into him but instead I punched him on the torsos. "Ouch! "

"You scared me !"

"Sorry I couldn't hold myself "what is he talking about? couldn't hold himself from what ?
"Meaning? "

"Ummm nothing , so how are you ? "

"I'm good you? "

" I'm Ok "and he slandered himself onto the couch as I followed behind him

"So what are you doing here ? "
