Chapter 9- Sudden turn of events. #1

"Juvia!" Exclaimed out Lucy in a laugh to her blue haired friend who was tightly holding on to her hand while both of them traveled up the set of stairs that led up to Lucy's apartment. "I can go up the stairs on my own!"

"No Lucy can't." Replied Juvia with a concentrated frown planted on her face, as her blue brows were tightly furrowed together. "Juvia needs to help Love rival in this!!"

Lucy rolled her eyes at the blue haired girl as she wrapped an arm around her poking belly. "I have this and you still call me your love rival?" Sighed out the blonde haired woman as both her and her friend reached the top of the long torturous set of staircases.

"Lucy will always be my love rival!" Gasped out Juvia to her as she let go of her 'love rival's' hand and choose to wrap her arms protectively around het waist to steady the blonde as she took out her keys to open up her door. "After all, Lucy can always change her mind about Natsu."

Lucy puffed at her in response. 'Yeah, "Lucy" doubts that.' Internally groaned out the blonde her head as she swung her door open, while she made her way to sit on her couch, Juvia still keeping her strong hold on the blonde's body as she made sure her pregnant friend made it safely to the couch.

"Thank you Juvia." Chuckled out Lucy as she collapsed on the green couch, as she sighed in relief when feeling her sore back be at ease once getting in contact with her couches cushions.

Juvia giggled at Lucy's words in response, the blue haired woman waving her off as she muttered out a simple "anytime" to her blonde haired friend who smiled at her.

Juvia's had been really taking good care of Lucy lately. From paying her rent, to helping Levy in cleaning her house everyday and to even buying her anything that she needed or wanted; Juvia was really helping her out a lot with her pregnancy, and Lucy seriously couldn't of been more grateful.

"Where's Levy by the way?" Asked Juvia as she scurried her way over to Lucy's kitchen to pour the woman a cup of water that she hadn't even asked for. "It's unusual to not see Levy here with Lucy."

"She went on a job with Lilly and Gajeel." Said Lucy as she slowly caressed her ever growing stomach with an unconscious faint smile. She then softly giggled when remembering something about the matter at hand. "Gajeel practically kidnapped her from me and dragged her out of my house."

Juvia herself giggled softly at Lucy's words as she reappeared in front of the blonde but with a glass of water that she had offered to Lucy who didn't hesitate in taking it with a smile while nodding a quiet "thank you" in the blue haired woman's direction.

"Gajeel must of missed Levy a lot since Levy's been hanging with Lucy more."

"He certainly did." Said Lucy with a small laugh as she gulped down the cup of water in her hand, whipping her mouth with the back of her hand when she finished. "He barely get's to see her because of me now."

Juvia laughed softly at this as she sat down beside her pregnant friend. "I'm sure Gajeel understands. Lucy is more important to Levy right now then Gajeel is."

Lucy smiled at her friend's words as she grabbed her hand and gave it a small squeeze instead of leaning up to hug the girl because that would of be quite a challenge for her seeing her condition.

"Thanks for saying that."

Juvia squeezed Lucy's hand tightly with a smile in response.

"I'm only stating the truth." Said Juvia to her with her beautiful smile still present on her face, Lucy's eyes widening at the girl's words.

She didn't talk in the third person.

Lucy blinked slowly, still a little taken aback about the girl's response.
