Chapter 1: Oh hello

The wind blew as she let down her brown hair and walked down the street holding her favourite cup of Ice chocolate. Wearing an oversized knitted jumper and black leggings, together with her satchel, she was Kim Jenny.

He was wearing his striped shirt with a hoodie and jeans, carrying a backpack and holding a cup of Ice Chocolate in his hands, he was Kim Kai.

Each on different paths but you can't escape from fate.

Kim Jenny POV:

I walked along the street sipping my favourite Ice Chocolate and thought to myself about what I should do on my off day from work. Maybe I should head to the library to borrow books for my upcoming university assignment? Or maybe I should head down to the mall to buy my new computer case? After all, it was stained by that man last week with his Ice Chocolate. Coming to think of it, we do have similar tastes. haha. Before I could think any further, I bumped into someone and my cup of Ice Chocolate landed on his shirt. And yes, it was opened. I froze. I looked up, shocked. It was him! The one who stained my bag last week. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that! I'm so sorry!" I said sincerely as I looked at him.

Kai's POV:

It was her. I looked into her eyes as she was desperately trying to clean my shirt. I retorted," hey'! It's you. Don't tell me you're seeking revenge? I'm on my way to a job interview, what should I do now. It's starting in 30 minutes!" She looked at me with pleading eyes as though asking me to forgive her. Relentlessly, I said," Aish! Forget it. It's ok. I'll just go buy a new shirt." I walked away, but I could hear her voice from behind," Sorry!" I hurriedly bought a new shirt to change into before heading for my job interview at the café, Simply Delights. "Hello there. I'm Kim Myung Soo, the owner of this café, this is basically a café that I run together with my sister. Oh yeah, she's on her off day today so... Ready to start the interview?" I was greeted by the ever so friendly café owner. I must say though that the questions he asked were certainly interesting. Have you ever helped anyone? Have you ever cooked? How did you feel? And I have to admit but I think I performed pretty well!

"Ok, you're hired," he said

"I'm hired already?" I replied

"Yes, unless you don't want to be, so you're Kim Jong in Kai?"

"Just call me kai"

"Ok Kai, so you can report to work tomorrow cause my sister will be here and she can teach you the ropes"

"Sure Mr Kim"

"Call me Myung soo. I'm 24 this year, you are?"

"22." I replied.

" I see, same as my sister. Oh well, see you tomorrow!"

I can't believe I just got hired like that. Well, at least it seems like a good job for me to hold for the last month of university before everyone starts finding jobs and I'll have none.

Jenny POV:

We laughed as we unlocked the café door. It was early in the morning at 8am and we were getting ready to start business. Just as I was about to enter the kitchen, my brother said," oh yeah sis, there's a new waiter coming in today. He's called.... Kai I think. Yeah Kai. You'll show him the ropes yeah?" I nodded my head as I prepared the menus and tied up my hair in a messy bun, dressed in my black spagetthi striped cami top, and a pair of white jeans, locked up with my flats. Just then, the door swung open. Just so conveniently, I said without looking up," sorry, we're not opened yet. It's only 8am and we only welcome guests at 8.30, please come back later?" With a familiar voice, he said," I'm the new waiter here." I looked up and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was him again? Gosh. "Wait, you're Myung soo's sister?" He exclaimed. "Oh hello." I replied.

"Oh hello Kai! You're here! Sis, this is the new waiter I told you about," my brother chirped happily. Noticing the awkward look in our eyes, he asked," you guys know each other already?"

"Yeah sorta" I said.

"She spilled ice chocolate on my shirt yesterday before the interview" he replied

"You did too ok?" I retorted

"Alright stop squabbling. Put all these behind yeah? By the way jenny, I'm going to buy collect our supplies now cause the supplier's truck had a problem. Help him along yeah?"

"Alright..."
