Six Months Later
"Baby? Come on, get up." I sleepily swapped his hands away.
"Let me sleep, Ali."
He chuckled "Come on sleeping beauty."
I sat up and frowned "I was making up for last night's sleep."
He kissed my forehead "I'm sorry but you know we have to leave early. We do not want to miss our flight, do we?"
My face brightened in excitement. I was visiting my family, Ali promised to take me home to spend a week with my family and i was so excited.
"I will go take my bath." I dashed into the bathroom, carefully.
After taking a shower, i changed into an Abayah and a hijab. Ali had already helped me pack everything i would need. He was only going to spend a night with me, he had to go to work.
We didn't eat breakfast and left early, leaving the house in the care of the cook, the housekeeper and the security guard.
In the airplane, i slept during the journey and woke up an hour before landing. Ali and i talked more before the plane finally landed.
As soon as i got off, i let out a sigh of relief "Alhamdulillah!" I muttered.
Ali chuckled beside me and i elbowed him.
I smiled when he yelped "That's not fair."
I shrugged "Sorry."
The ride home was quiet as i kept thinking of my reaction on being with them 25 weeks later. I missed them all so much, especially Dad.
"Are you ready?"
I sighed "Yes."
Immediately i set my foot down, i heard an excited shriek and i figured out immediately who it belonged to.
A lot had happened in those six months, like my sister being 14 weeks pregnant, Noor finally taking over the company, Dad retiring, Habib getting engaged and their parents getting back together.
It was first a shock for me but then i remembered that with Allah, anything was possible. Their Mum was already married to someone else, he divorced her and she came back to Uncle.
In Islam, if a woman is divorced three times by her husband and he later on wants her back, she has to get married, then get divorced again before she can go back to her first husband. Ma Shaa Allah! The beauty of Islaam.
I was almost crushed by the weight that flung itself onto me, thankfully, Ali was beside me and he helped me stand straight.
"Oh Allah! Look at you, you've changed so much. I missed you." I smiled widely and hugged Norah back.
"I missed you more. How is my unborn Niece doing?"
"Your unborn Nephew is fine. Alhamdulillah!" Zain answered for her and i mentally rolled my eyes.
"Don't mind him. He's so obsessed with the thought that it will be a boy."
Ali chuckled beside me and i pinched his arm.
He hissed "What?"
"Look who's here." I smiled at the voice.
"Noor. Come over here, you big man." I hugged him enthusiastically.
"It looks like you've added weight." I teased.
"That's because i have." I could imagine him puffing his chest.
I snorted "I will pretend to believe that."
"Where is Dad?"
"He went out to meet someone, he should be back anytime soon." Norah answered and i nodded.
When we got in, Ali led me to a recliner and i settled down.
"It feels so good to be home." I smiled.
"Home feels good having you back." Noor mussed.
Ma Shaa Allah! Another update. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh!!!
