___________KATIAS POV_________________
"Wait so tomorow," Grace begin her eyes wide. "One Direction is picking me up, to see a concert?"
I nodded awaiting the screams.
She shrieked. "OMG OMG OMG OMG NO FREAKING WAY!!!!" She spazzed out.
"YES!" I screamed. Seeing her happy made me happy.
We were back at our small apartment. One Direction was picking us up at noon. It was so hard to believe at first.
Then my phone buzzed.
Call from 'Harry the Sex God'. I laughed he must've stole my phone and put it in.
"Hold on Grace," I said. She nodded her head, too busy on her ipod to acknowledge me.
"Hey Sex God," I greeted him. I could practically see his signature smirk.
"Hey Katia." He repiled cockiness in his voice.
"So why did you call?" I mean it wasnt like a international popstar called me for no reason.
"No reason." I was proven wrong.
"ohhhhhhh kay," I said smiling. He tugged on my heart strings. "I wanted to say thanks for letting us go to the concert. I'll find away to pay-"
"Wait. You cant go." He said.
"Wh-what?" I said. Was he really that rude cocky popstar I heard about?
"You can only have them, if I give them to you free."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "Harry its too much."
"No its not." He sighed. "I wont accept any money."
"Well, I will make you." I said stubbornly and he laughed. I found myself laughing. "I'm serous."
"Sure. Like your going to me Harry Styles take money from you." He laughed again.
"Harry, you have no idea," I whispered. "This means everything to me."
He got serious. "You have no idea what this means to me. Most people think I'm that flirt, or that cocky player. I want to make a difference in one persons life."
I was stunned at what he said. "Harry, you singing, it makes a difference in every girls life that listens to the music. Trust me."
"Thanks Katia. You're pretty cool."
"Thanks Harry. Your cool."
He laughed and I joined him.
"Bye Katia."
"Bye Harry."
After my phone call with Harry, I was in a happier mood. I loved the way he made me feel. Like I could do anything.
"Hey Katia!" I heard Grace call.
I ran out into the living room to find my mom home. "Hi mom." I said.
She only nodded at me and turned back her attention to Grace.
"So then One Direction said we could go in the back room-" Grace said telling my mother about the day.
My mom. She was my mom. But nothing else. She mostly paid attention to Grace. We used to be close, then Grace got sick. At first, I thought it was a phase. But I learned that it wasnt. It was like I wasnt in her life. I was just another person she dealt with. I wasnt her daughter. Grace was her daughter. I was a helper. I loved her. I had to. She was my mother.
"Wow. Katia you let her get hurt?" She asked narrowing her eyes.
"Um, no a girl-" I said before she cut me off.
"I know the story. Grace told me. I think it time for some mother/daughter time." Oh my god. She was finally going to take me and her out. But what about Grace? "C'mon," I smiled at my mother even though she was faced to Grace. "Katia get Grace's coat." Of course, she ment Grace. Not me. I sighed and got Graces coat handing it to mom.
They left.
I was alone.
Not a surprise.
I went into my room. And I cried.
I wanted things to be back to normal. When Grace wasn't sick. When I had a dad. When I had a mom who cared.
When my life was a normal life.
When I wasn't pulling so much weight.
