As I sat up against the wall and watched Aradia runoff. For once in a long time, I felt... Happy. I looked at the stitches on my jester hat and brushed my thumb across it. Then put my jester hat on and grabbed my stuff. And started walking to class. Walking while looking down at my feet. I wasn't going to bump into anyone since the hallways were empty. And everyone is already in class. At times I would close my eyes and listen to the echoes of my footsteps on the shiny tile floors. At times it would be comforting. After a bit of walking, I arrived at class and sat down without saying anything..... "ms. Generic you're late" said the teacher. " I-i'm sorry Mrs. Ballyhoo" " just don't be this late again" " yes Mrs. Ballyhoo". Then the lesson carried on.
*Time Skip*
After school, all of the kids started to a whisper about me. Probably because of my hair. But I just tried to ignore them. I closed my eyes while walking down the crowded hallway. Every now and then I would hear kid's whispering. "is that a girl?" " is that Mei?" "why does she look like a boy?". "maybe she's confused" and " hey look at the clown girl!". I would hear them laughing at me. I pulled my hat down over my face and began to run... Then all of a sudden... THUD! ran into somebody. I looked up to see who it was. It was none other than Marcus... "HEY WATCH- well if it isn't none other than little miss clown girl." " I'm sorry i-i-i I didn't mean to I swear!" " shut up you brat!" "eep!". " maybe if you weren't so dumb you could have avoided this... Oh, wait! You can't because of your level of stupid is permanent!". " now listen, clown, girl" " don't call me that". "IM GOING TO CALL YOU WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT!!" Marcus shouted as everyone in the hall turned and looked. " WHAT ARE YOU GUYS LOOKING AT?!" Marcus then shouted at the crowd. Everyone went back to what they were doing. " just stop Marcus!" I pleaded. "Or what Clown girl, gonna tell me a joke?" " Just stop!" I said as I started to back up. Every time I would inch back he would take a step closer to me. Until I was up against the wall. The bell rang and everyone was rushing to get out of the halls... Marcus then grabbed me by the shirt and pulled me off the ground. And drew back his fist. He then began to beat me up. After a couple minutes a student told the teacher about what's going on. And the teacher stopped the fight... the teacher had to hold back Marcus.
Later I got sent home... I arrived at the bus stop that's a bit away from my street. I started walking home, I remember seeing the road turn to gravel. That tells me I'm almost home. I saw the opening in the woods where my house is down. I walked down and then was greeted by a narrow gravel road that on both sides had a small field of tall grass. I walked down the gravel road and was greeted by a small house. The walls were Burgundy with a deep brown roof. The house was old and almost seemed like it was on the verge of falling apart. You could tell that the owners don't take good care of the house. Before going into the house I went into the field and put down my backpack. I unzipped it and reached in and pulled out a flowey light pink dress. I took off my hoodie and put it on over my tank top and shorts. My father doesn't like me looking like a boy. And that made me even more scared of his reaction to when he sees my hair. I stuffed the hoodie into my backpack zipped it back up and grabbed my backpack. I then went into the house. " I'm back, " I said as I quickly ran off to my room. Afraid of what he would do. "Wait!" He shouted and I stopped in my tracks. "Y-yes?" " you forgot a kiss" "o-oh Sorry " I walked over quickly kissed him on the head and sped out of the room. I shut my door and put my backpack down then plopped onto bed. The room was mainly dark the only light was coming through the small window. It was oddly placed in the middle of the wall. I reached over by the bed and grabbed a cord. I plugged it into outlet on the wall. Then the once dark and dull room light up with bright colorful lights. I watched as the colors would go on and off. Alternating colors. It would always make me smile.
