The Changes (Dramione) (Hermione Gaunt)

*FOURTEEN*

Adeline POV.

Bella and I walked out of the great hall looking for someone to munch on.

"What about him?" Bella asked,  pointing to the brunette that was walking alone,  I sniffed the air,  I shook my head.

"No he doesn't smell good so I doubt that he'll taste good." I said scrunching my nose. Bella giggled,  I sniffed the air and my eyes turned red.  Quickly turning to identify where the smell is coming from.  I spotted a girl walking alone,  her blonde hair tied in a messy pony tail,  her arms filled with books,  the black glasses that framed her face hanging low she raises a hand and pushed them back.Her eyes a piercing shade of Grey. She was wearing Slytherin robes. I looked at bella who nodded at me.  We slowly approached the girl.  Our eyes having changed back to their normal.

"Hello,  I'm Adeline,  you can call me Addie. And that is Arabella or Bella for short." I paused letting the girl process , before continuing. "What's your name?"

"Oh,  uh,  hi,  I'm Veronica!" She exclaimed. Bella smiled before looking at me.  I shook my head.  Yes she smelled good but it she reminded me too much of Draco in glasses,  she also didn't smell human up close.

"Can we call you v? Or Ronnie?" Bella asked.  The girl looked at bella with a bright smile before nodding. 

"Can I help you with those?" I asked gesturing to the books in her arms.  Her eyes shifted to me.

"Oh please!" Ronnie said handing me some of her books.  I smiled brightly at the girl as we continued down to the Slytherin common room. We dropped her books off before heading back to the great hall making pleasant conversation.  Ronnie was now my best friend,  bella didn't like her to much. 

"Well we aren't hungry,  I  will see you later ronnie!" I beamed hugging her she hugged back

"Alright,  Babe,  are you later?" Veronica asked.  I nodded happily as she entered the great hall. 

"I don't like her." Bella states.  I glared at her. 

"Well I do,  well I'm starving let's eat." I said grinning like a mad man with my eyes red,  quickly changing back.  We eventually found a tasteful male hufflepuff,  who tasted like a freshly baked cinnamon roll.

"Alright lets head back. " I said looping my arm with my sisters.  She nodded as we walked back to the great hall in comfortable silence. When we walked in,  I noticed that Draco,  who had Jax still on his lap, and Blaise where laughing at Theo for being Theo... I spotted veronica sitting alone watching the other slytherins.  I walked passed Draco who frowned at me,  before sitting next to ronnie who hadn't noticed yet.

"Hey boo!" I exclaimed she jumped and looked at me with a smile.

"Hey!" She beamed hugging me,  I hugged back.

"Why are you sitting here all alone V? " I asked after pulling away she looked down and started fiddling with her fingers.

"People don't really like me." She said.  I gasped.

"How could they not like my best friend!" I gushed,  she was truly my new best friend,  she was smart like me,  she was beautiful,  she had a good sense of humor,  she wasn't like everyone else. 

"Addie it's OK." She mumbled,  I shook my head at her.

"No it is not,  you will sit with me and you will be a tentative beat friend and I will be the same for you!" I remarked.  She smiled at me before nodding.

"Alright,  you should come sit with me Draco bella and Blaise." I suggested she nodded. I smiled larger grabbing her hand and pulled her to my seat.  I smiled at Draco and kissed him on the lips.

"Hey." I said looking at him he smiled at me.

"Hello beautiful. Who might you be?" Draco asked looking at the girl who smiled sheepishly at him.

"Veronica!" She said proudly,  I sat down and pulled her down.

"Did you eat?" I asked Veronica she smirked at me before nodding. I smiled at she was hiding something and I intend to find out what.

"Did you?" She asked with this tons in her voice,  it was like she knew.

"Yes before you came in." I replied innocently.  I saw she was looking at Theo.

"OMG!" I whispered loudly she looked at me.

"What?" Ronnie asked confused.  I smiled evily at her.

"You like Theo?!" I beamed quietly enough so only she could hear.  She blushed and shook her head.

"N-No I don't." She stuttered softly. 

"You so do!" I gushed in a low whisper.

"Even if I did he doesn't even know I exist." She replied.  I frowned at her.  She loomed at the table I looked over at Theo who looked at her breifly.

"Theo? Can I talk to you a moment?" I asked his eyes snapped to me and so did ronnie's. I smiled at my now beat friend.

"Yeah?" He said.  I nodded and motioned for him to follow me out of the great hall.

"You , I saw you looking at veronica?" I stated.  He blushed and looked everywhere but me.

"She likes you." I stated his eyes snapped to me and a small smile appeared on his lips. 

"She does?" He questioned happily,  I nodded.

"Yes but she thinks you don't even know she exists. So change that and ask her out!" I said he nodded and we entered the great hall,  Jax was sitting on Veronica's lap now.  Her eyes shot to me flashing red,  I gasped I knew she wasn't human.  Her eyes went back to normal before she rushed up to me. Grabbing my arm and pulling me outside.

"Addie , its not what you think!" She exclaimed. I shook my head.

"So your telling me you aren't a vampire?" I questioned, her eyes met mine in panic.

"I, uh, how?" She asked i flashed my eyes red. My eyes were a brighter red, she gasped grabbing me and pulling me close.

"I thought you would hate me!" She gushed loudly i shook my head returning her hug.

"Nope." I said popping the p.

"So what happened to you?" She questioned. I sighed. "Ill tell you if you tell me?"

"Alright ill go first." I said , after about a half an hour i had told her what had happened. She nodded at some parts, occasionally interrupting to  say that it seemed awful , or it was probably terrifying.

"My turn i guess." She stated numbly. I nodded grabbing her hand giving it a squeeze.

"Take it slow, i understand if you don't want to tell me v." I muttered she shook het head.

"No its not that at all, i just its the first time i will be telling anyone." Ronnie said. I nodded as she took a deep shakey breath letting the shakey breath come out. "It only happened about a month ago..."
