Adriana's POV

I feel an instant wave of nausea as my mum's car pulls up at the large college. My mum gives my hand a light squeeze and I feel any worry in me disappear. It's been a couple of months since I was last in school, and let's just say that this isn't high school anymore.

I see a bunch of classy sports cars in several rows, and feel a little out of place in my mother's station wagon. I see pretty girls in tiny, skimpy clothing, blondes, red heads etc.

"Do you want me to come with you, A?" My mum asks me.
"No!!" I shout a little to quickly. My ears and head pound in reaction to my loud voice in the confined space.
"Remember what the doctor said. You have to take it easy A." My mother reminds me. Yes. I Adriana Willis have a disease. The first of it's kind, and no name for it yet, as well as no cure. I'm not contagious though, because I was tested and quarantined for so long that the doctors decided I was okay to leave. My mum didn't agree though, she has been babying me ever since I was diagnosed. I love her but she tends to smother me.
"My sister's son will be staying here too!" She beams, "If you run into him, say hi for me okay. We have a family reunion at the end of the year."
"Okay, bye mum."
"Bye ,my little angel."
I roll my eyes and get a splitting headache but it was worth it. I feel so happy, so alive, I am finally free from my mother. I walk into the large, well structured school building.
"Wow!" I exclaim as I step into the hallway. I walk to a bulletin board, and check to see what dorm I'll be in. I scan all the names, My roommate is a girl named Jesse. I find where I am meant to be though. Room 128.
I then move to the front desk for my schedule and School map. Then I scourge around the school till I find my dorm. I see two neatly made beds, and a few posters of rappers, behind the first bed, a few bags open but not completely messy. My roommate must be in.
I hear water in the bathroom and I assume that she is taking a shower.
I set my bags down, put up my essential pictures of Noah Centineo (he's beautiful.) then lie down on the bed.
I wake up to the sound of someone unlocking the bathroom door, I pray the new girl is dressed. As the door opens I am stunned. Literally stunned. A guy is in my dorm, a guy is in my dorm, a guy is in my dorm. Wearing nothing but a towel. I try not to look at him, or his dripping hair, or his green eyes or his abs, or his adorable nose, or his lips. Okay I'll stop now.
"Who are you?" We ask simultaneously.
"No boys are allowed in any girl's dorms without permission." I dictate. "Is Jesse in there with you? Because you certainly don't have my permission to be here." I continue to rant but stop when He drops his Towel. Thank Goodness he is wearing jeans.
"You don't have my permission to be here too, this is my dorm, and I am Jesse." He starts running a hand through his hair, frustrated.
"I thought this place had a strict no boy, girl policy, because you can't leave hormonal teens alone."
"It does, This can't be your room. My roommate is someone named Adrian Willis."
"Well news flash, there is no Adrian Willis, I am Adriana Willis. And I don't have a brother."
"They must have omitted the A." He sighs, taking a seat on his bed and staring on the floor. Once he looks up again he smiles. "I guess we're stuck together."
"Hell nah, we ain't." He makes a face at my Tyra Banks expression accent and I laugh. "I'm gonna tell the dean and see if I can get a room with a girl." I start walking away and he yanks me back. "Owww. What?!"
"There are no other rooms, If you go to the dean, the school board will send one of us home and try to enrol another gender. And we won't have an education, sorry Adrian, but we're stuck."
"Adriana." I correct him.
"Yeah."
"So..what now?" I ask him.
"I don't know, tell me about yourself."
"My name is Adriana Willis, I wanna major in Psychology. I have a minor in theatrics and chemistry, also in literature and Japanese. I came to expand my knowledge on those subjects."
"Wow." He comments.
"What?"
"You're a robot.. what really brings you to college?" He asks his eyes searching me. "Where are you from?"
"Africa."
"And now you're in Atlanta, why you running?"
"My mum." I simply say.
I take a seat on my bed and Jesse stares, he is staring behind me and I turn around to see him snickering at my Noah Centineo poster.
I frown. "What?"
"Nothing."
"So what brings you here?" I interrogate.
"I came for the college experience, parties, girls, education, Food, frats, girls, girls, more girls."
"You said girls 4 times."
"Did I?" He hums.
"Since we're roommates, we need some ground rules." I start and he nods.
"Rule 1, don't you dare have sex with someone in this room. I don't need to third wheel on that.
Rule 2, the bathroom must be clean and tidy at all times.
Rule 3, don't you dare wake me up, ever.
Rule 4, follow the rules.
Rule 5, if new rules need to be added we count on ourselves to discuss like rational humans.
Rule 6, no one Must know we are roommates."

"Yes ma'am." He salutes.
