The silvernette unconsciously tapped his foot on the ground, repeatedly glancing at his watch, anxiety bubbling in his blood as he waited impatiently for his older brother to return with his ticket.
'I told him to do it four weeks ago, that imbecile,' He groaned inwardly, his green eye lighting up at the sight of the so called imbecile returning to where he was sitting. Standing up abruptly, the ravenette held a single piece of paper in his hands, waving it in the air, a mocking smile painted on his face.
"And you said I was untrustworthy."
"You still are," The boy retorted, about to snatch his pass when his brother arched an eyebrow, raising it high above the shorter boy.
"Give it to me!" He hissed lowly, jumping up and down to reach his ticket and board the train, but his brother had other plans, continuing to tease his younger sibling. He hummed, a teasing glint in his ruby red eyes as he figured out his payment.
"Say I'm better than Saku, and you get your ticket back, boy," The elder demanded, folding his arms over his chest as the said parchment dissapeared from sight.
The silver haired boy frowned in distaste, rolling his green eye dramatically as he blew his ahoge out of his face. "That's a lie."
"Okay then. Hope you can pay for a train ticket all by yourself, kiddo." The teenager, dressed in all black, shrugged his shoulders, turning on his heel to walk away from the scene.
Of course, the young boy couldn't allow it.
"Give it to me, you- you- aRGH!" He screeched, tackling his brother and climbing up his torso to retrieve his ticket. The ravenette was surprised, no doubt, but caught on quickly, using one hand to lift the slip of paper as high as possible and the other to shove his brother's face down.
"You beast, get off of me!"
"Not until you give me my ticket!"
The quarrel continued, both boys rebellious and stubborn. No one even batted an eye, everyone too busy with their own work and journies to seperate the fighting siblings. Yells and screams escaped their lips, and much to the elder's delight, not a single adult shushed them.
"The train to Bokaro Island is departing in 20 minutes. Passengers are requested to board as soon as possible to avoid any misunderstandings. Have fun at the Strawberry Witch's Magic Academy, you 'lil angels!"
The younger boy froze up at the announcement, glancing left and right for any sign of disruption between the crowd after the hearing, but was left shocked when barely anyone besides himself reacted. Hopping off of his sibling, he rubbed his green eye, blinking a couple of times to scan the area once more, which remained as quiet as ever- or as it could be for a bustling train station.
"Only us magic kiddos can tune into Mrs Ann's voice," He heard a voice whisper into his ear, sending shivers down his spine and startling him. The boy whipped his head around, slapping his brother hardly on the bare arm, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Now will you let me go? I'm getting late, Kuro," The young boy resulted into using his name to grab his attention, which did.
The smirk left his face, replaced by an unreadable expression. All mischief and naughtiness was drained from him, giving off a more brotherly than enemy kind of vibe.
Crimson eyes stared down into a single emerald one, boring into the shorter boy's soul. He nodded in agreement, but it was clear that his focus was somewhere else. The silvernette brushed it off, but did keep a small eye on him just in case.
Kurotane, or how his sibling called him, Kuro, slung the backpack over his shoulder, taking his brother's hand- much to the other's surprise- and dragged him towards the vehicle awaiting to be filled with other students attending the academy.
.
Finding a nice cabin, a bit distanced from the full and noisy ones, the ravenette stretched out his arms to place the backpack in the overhead compartment, only for a voice to interrupt his devious deed.
"Hey! You know I can't reach that high!" The smaller boy whined, glancing from his luggage to his annoying brother. "Put it in the area underneath my chair-"
"Since when did I listen to dorks?" Came his simple reply, the taller boy slamming the door shut and grinning goofily at his younger brother.
"Kuro! I-" He sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose and shutting his eye tight, releasing the rest of his anger with a second sigh. "Yeah... I should've expected that one."
Lightly chuckling to himself, the boy expected his counterpart to laugh at his mistake and whack him on the back in his fits of giggle, except, it didn't happen. Slowly, he cracked open his one good eye, to face a scene he had never imagined he'd be cursed to see.
Kuro, his older, annoying and brave brother had buried his face in his hands, sobbing.
He was taken aback by the sight, hesitantly looking around before softly tugging his brother into the cabin and seating him down, sitting right by him.
"K-Kuro?" He asked, his shaking voice just above a whisper, for he too was being washed over by a feeling of dread and upsetness due to his brother. His green eye glossed with tears, gulping down a lump that was forming in his throat.
"Listen, kiddo, it's nothing serious," He coughed up, beginning to explain himself, wiping his red eyes and sniffling as he continued, "it's just... I'm getting memories of mum and dad when it was my turn to leave-"
"Where was I-"
"Dork, shut up and listen," The elder growled, taking a deep breath and attempting to finish what he had started, "You were just a baby, I don't really expect you to remember much.
"Consider this your pep talk because your lazy excuse for a father couldn't give it to you. I don't have to be a mind reader to tell that you're nervous about this whole deal, but stay relaxed okay? Slow and steady wins the race, so stay calm and collected too, okay? Don't let your anger get the better of you, you're better than that. Just wait for me, yeah, dork?"
"Wait for you?" The boy quizzically stared at his elder brother, raising an eyebrow to add to his confused state.
"Yeah. I'm a teacher's assistant, but I won't show up until, like, 2 weeks later, dork. And Saku's already there, so-"
"SAKU'S WHERE-"
"Jesus, shut up!" The ravenette snapped, causing the little one to obey his words and listen attentively, practically on the edge of his seat in pure eager.
"As I was saying, yeah, Saku's already there. He's a teacher's assistant too. Try find him until I come and save you from his hopeless romantic a- butt, hm?"
"Yeah, yeah. Got it," The silver haired boy smiled a wide smile, feeling escatic that not only one, but both of his siblings would be there with him at the academy.
Oh boy, wasn't he lucky?
"The train is now departing. Hope you have a safe and wonderful journey to the Strawberry Witch's Magic Academy, my 'lil angels~!" The sweet woman's voice echoed throughout the steam engine, a sharp whistle following as well as the train's engine making it's 'starting up' noise.
"Shit, shit, shit!" Kurotane sweared, turning his head from left to right frantically, until his eyes locked onto the window and the slowly passing scenery, a devilish grin forming.
His brother realised it quickly and grasped his arm, only to clench his fist on nothing but air, as his brother had already broken the latch and pushed up the window, sitting gingerly on the edge. Seeing half of his brother almost falling out of a moving train made the young boy squeak, stiffening in fear of the worst.
"Well, that's my cue, dork. I'll see you in 2 weeks, I guess." He said casually, swinging his other leg over the sill¿ as the vehicle began picking up speed.
"Goodbye, Piko- err, dork! I meant dork!" Was his final words before he leaped off of the metal, stumbling a bit, then swiftly landing on his feet in time to spin around wave as hard as he could, a huge grin spread out on his lips.
"Goodbye, big brother that's better than Saku!"
