Scorching, orangle flames, dancing their way through the factory to mark their territory, spreading ash and smoke wherever they went, leaving the air unable to breathe in.

Two bodies, wrestling; one a rescuer, the other a bitter soul, fingers latched around each other's throats. One was free from the fire, but came back to save the other still trapped. Little did they know, the latter didn't want to see their face ever again.

And, amidst it all, a small baby, sleeping peacefully, laying in his fluffy, blue blanket, the flames dangerously licking at his sides.

An almost silent click, and then, bang.

.

Piko jolted awake, heavy breaths escaping his lips as he wiped away the sweat that had formed during his slumber. The pounding headache made it's way through, the silver haired boy clutching his skull in pain, grunting and groaning.

Multiple memories flashed through his single green eye, some he himself didn't remember ever having or creating with another.

After taking a few deep and stable sighs, the silvernette was absolutely calm. The migraine had ceased as well as the awful ringing in his fragile ears. Blinking hardly a couple of times, he rubbed his eye to clean the sleepdust from it, mindlessly pressing against the other one, too.

'Forgot those happened, hm,' He thought, scolding himself for his forgetful behaviour.

The nightmare was an often occurrence, now. What did it mean? Who were the people? And what happened to them? He had answers to none of his questions, and instead considered ignoring the dream as a whole. It went on for so long, Piko was convinced that he had either been hexed, or this was just the way how his brain forcefully activated all his senses after a long snooze.

The teenager shook his head, turning his attention to the window and focusing on the scenery outside. The sun was beginning to set, making the sky a beautiful canvas of pinks and oranges, clouds roaming here and there. Moving his green eye down, he gazed at the blur of trees and plantation the train was passing- nothing interesting, anyways.

Shifting into a more suitable position, the male reached out his hand to grasp one of the many books sitting on the table, waiting for someone to flip them open and read their contents. Picking the thickest one, an emerald eye scanned the title and blurb, processing it quickly.

'An Idiot's Guide to the Strawberry Witch's Magic Academy'

'If you're reading this book, chances are you're curious or just a plain dumbo. Whatever the reason, this book is designed to teach you about everything you'd need to know. From mapping the entire island to biographies of all the teachers; this book/guide is one thing you wouldn't want to lose,

... idiot.'

A smile made it's way to his pale lips at the use of the insult, reminding him of his elder brother and his mischievous antics, hand brushing away the stray strands that poked at his eye again.

"I wonder what he's doing," He asked himself, tapping a slender digit against the chestnut wood furniture, "probably raiding my room or something..." He chuckled, focusing on the binded papers in his hands, debating on what to do with it.

'I'll... keep this with me. No one's gonna notice a book from a steam engine going missing, anyways,' He finally decided, green eye glancing left and right before quietly standing up and onto the table, carefully opening the compartment and zipping open his bag, sliding the book in as silently as possible. Closing it twice as quickly, the male was seated in a flash, as if he hadn't even moved in the first place.
