Chapter 4

Rachel P.O.V

I was so happy today. I don't have to go to school today but, it was the last day anyway so it wouldn't have been nothing important anyway. I was just sad that I couldn't get to see my new friend though. Every time I think that I have a new friend I get goosebumps. I just wish that I could've got her number so I could text her. I'mma just ask my momma can we go to her house so I can get it.

"Rachel you ready honey? Momma said

"Yea but, can we stop at Maya house?" I said

" Why do you need to?" Momma said

"Welllll...... I forgot to get her number and I really want it talk to her since we go be in Alabama." I said

"We'll since this is your first friend I will." Momma said

"Thank you momma soooo much!" I said

*Momma laughing* "You welcome sweetie. Now let's go we have a long 8 hour drive and you go be driving half the way."

We got to Maya house and she was just walking out.

"Heeey!! Raquel what you doing here?" She said

I got nervous. It sounded like she ain't want me here.

"We'll i'm not go be at school and I'mma be out of town for a while. I was just hoping that you would give me yo number" I said. Ohh that was so hard.

"Sure, I can't wait til you come back so we can hang out agin I had fun." She said

Ok." I said Maya gives me her number

"Bye Raquel." She said

"Bye Maya." I said

I got in the car smiling hecky mo hard.

"Did you get it?" Momma said

"Yea." I said

"Ok, u ready?" Momma said

"Yep let's go." I said

8 hrs later

Finally we made it. I can't wait to see my granny. I hope she is doing better than what I think she is. We drove to Mercy hospital where my granny was staying at. After that long walk across the parking lot and boring elevator ride we finally made it to her room.

"Hey, Granny how you doing?" I said

"I'm doing a little better darling." She said
