One Month Later..
Gabi's POV:
   I had been working for Josh for at least a month now and it's so great. I've been putting some of my money away in a savings account in case I need it. Or I just wanna go on vacation or buy some cute new heels. But anyways, my job is amazing. Yolanda and I have gotten so close and she moved in right next door so we always get to see each other. Elliot still hates me but I know he will warm up to me...I hope!
   Things with Sophia have escalated but nothing is set in stone. Even though I want it to be so bad. We've been keeping whatever we are on the down-low because we don't know what the hell we're doing. It's hard to explain that to people. All I know is that I love being with her all the time. I started smiling thinking about her and what she could be doing right now. Was she thinking of me? Was she so focused on her writing she starts to make facial expressions to match what's being written? Or was she just acting like it's a normal day? I still kept smiling thinking about how I get to see her and be with her when I get home. I jumped back when Josh walked in.

Josh: "Why are you so smiley?"

Gabi: "What? Me? No."

Josh: "Your face is still red from you blushing."

Gabi: "Okay fine. I'm just really happy that's all."

Josh: "Ooooh."

Gabi: "Cut it out. What do you want for lunch?"

Josh: "Fine. Can I have a turkey and ham sandwich?"

Gabi: "Coming right up."

Josh: "You're the best."

Gabi: "I know."

   Josh laughed and walked back into his office. Just then Elliot came from Josh's office.

Elliot: "Look what the rat dragged in...another  rat."

Gabi: "Look what the..the...I GOT NOTHING."

Elliot: "Clearly. Look at that outfit."

Gabi: "Okay anyways. Elliot, can I ask you for your advice on something?"

Elliot: "Yes I think you should quit your job."

Gabi: "Elliot, I'm serious."

Elliot: "Okay okay fine. What's up?"

Gabi: "So I really really like this person and I'm just so crazy about them. But I'm just so scared that if it doesn't work out, it could ruin everything."

Elliot: "Oh honey..even if it did work out, you'd ruin it anyhow."

Gabi: "Elliot."

Elliot: "Okay I'm sorry. Why don't you just tell that person. Clearly it's not official or anything, so make it official. Take a big jump. Live on the edge."

Gabi: "Ugh, I don't know Elliot. They're just so smart, sweet, caring, loving, sensitive, and just all around perfect. The charming smile and looks. I get weak in the knees. I've never felt this way about anyone before. I'm really scared."

Elliot: "As much as this kills me to say, you're all of those things too Gabi. Whoever they are would be lucky to have you."

Gabi: "Thanks Elliot."

Elliot: "You're welcome bitch."

   Elliot skipped off into the house and disappeared. I thought long about it and I wanted to make things official with Sofia. I love her so damn much.

Josh's POV:

   Gabi: "Ugh, I don't know Elliot. They're just so smart, sweet, caring, loving, sensitive, and just all around perfect. The charming smile and looks. I get weak in the knees. I've never felt this way about anyone before. I'm really scared."

Elliot: "As much as this kills me to say, you're all of those things too Gabi. Whoever they are would be lucky to have you."

Gabi: "Thanks Elliot."

   Oh my god..Gabi was talking about me. That's why she wasn't giving Elliot a name. Gabi has been acting strange around me too! That explains so much. I thought only I felt this way about her. I have to say something. Do something. So she inks I feel the exact same way about her. I'm so glad my office walls are paper thin.
   I walked out of my office and greeted Gabi as she finished preparing my lunch. She set it in the small table I had near the kitchen island.

Gabi: "Here ya go. I even cut it in to two triangles just how you like it."

Josh: "I don't want the sandwich. I wa-"

Gabi: "That's okay. I'll give it to Elliot or Yolanda. Anything else I can make for you?"

   I walked closer to her.

Josh: "I want you Gabi."

   I closed the gap between us and kissed her softly. I pulled away and looked into her eyes.

Josh: "I heard you talking to Elliot earlier. I know you were talking about me. And I feel the same way Gabi. I just didn't say anything because I was worried you'd reject me because I'm your boss. Or because I'm not good enough for you. But now I know how you really feel..and it's the same as me."

Gabi's POV:
   Shit. He had it all wrong. I was too shocked to say anything. I quickly gathered my thoughts and spat them out.

Gabi: "Josh, I'm flattered. I really am. But I wasn't talking about you."

Josh: "Then wh-"

Gabi: "I was talking about my roommate Sofia. I'm sorry. I don't feel those things towards you. You're a great guy and all that. And I'm so thankful for this job and our friendship. I really am. But I'm in love with Sofia."

Josh: "Oh..I-"

Gabi: "You don't have to say anything Josh. I better go though."

   I untied my apron and grabbed my purse. I placed the apron inside and hung it over my shoulder and walked out to my car. I drove home just thinking about everything. I still wanted Sofia more than ever but I felt bad. I felt so bad because Josh confessed all of his feelings for me and I can't return them. Ugh.
