When the Sun met the Moon 🌚🌝

( I know the song doesn't really go with the story but it's where I got the inspiration to write this )

Before only the sun existed, who lived in with the clouds above. The animals of Earth loved the Sun, but they never knew when to sleep or when to wake up. Sometimes the Sun would dry up the water that the animals needed to drink and bathe. The Sun loved everything that was on Earth because of all the life it had. The Sun loved to give the animals warmth and  the trees light to grow. One day the Sun saw a strange round object making its way towards Earth. He later found out that Jupiter, who had 80 moons, had let Earth have one of her moons. The Sun thought that was very generous of Jupiter to do. But as soon as the Moon arrived something strange happened. Earth began to spin slowly with the moon going around it. He saw that on one side of the Earth there was darkness. That the animals now called night and on the other his light. The Sun became angry and confused. There should only be daylight on Earth not moonlight! The Sun saw how happy the animals became when the moon created night time. He saw them close their eyes to rest for the first time in ages. The Sun couldn't believe that the animals would betray him and actually become happy because of the Moon and not him. What did she have that made her more likeable? She was small compared to him. She had holes all over her that made her look...weird. Also she was always looking sleepy. It was okay though because he knew that day would come again. What he expected didn't actually happen at all. The exact opposite happened, the Moon was still there but on the other side of Earth! Now the animals on the Moon's side went to sleep and on his side they were awake. The Sun had enough of this, he did not want to share Earth with the Moon at all. He saw Earth first and became her friend first. It isn't fair at all that the Moon just came out of nowhere and now everyone loves her. From where the Moon was she saw how angry the Sun was becoming everyday. She noticed this the day she arrived to help the Sun with the animals sleeping. But instead of being grateful for the help, he would yell at her, all the time. The Moon wasn't going to allow someone to just treat her like that. So everyday the Sun and the Moon would argue. This went on for years until the Moon had figured out how to solve the problem. When it was about time for the Sun to rise the Moon disappeared. The Moon was still there, she just became invisible so that nobody not even the animals below could see her. On that day when the Sun rose he was confused because he could have sworn that he had just saw the Moon just a second ago. As years went by the Sun had forgotten about the Moon and she finally got some peace and quiet.
