Dad led Ricky and I into a vary nice restaurant, like the ones you here about but can't get into unless you have like 3 years advanced reservations, with the folded napkins in the water glasses and silk table cloths. The waters waring black slacks and button up shirts and the waitresses waring cocktail dresses.
"Dad I can't eat here." I said, knowing that money is tight, and getting kindove mad that everyone was spending a lot of money on me for my Birthday. "I can't let you pay for something this nice, we need the money for bills. If you have enough money to take us out to eat here, imagin all of the other things we could do with that money -"
I was on a role when Dad cut me off saying "I'm not paying for it." the way he said it was vary calm and collected, like he knew I was going to say something agents it before hand.
Startled I asked "Then who is?"
"I am." a mail voice from behind me said. I turned around to look at him, he was tall with light blond hair that curled out from under his hat. He had a plump look to his face, except for his nose. His nose was sharp and long.
A millioin questions running threw my head. How does my dad know this man? Why is he paying for my lunch? What is his job? The first questions I ask though is, "Who are you?"
The man smiled so you could see his slightly crooked teeth, "I am the prince's secretary, Victor. You must be Rachel."
I turned to Dad and asked "How do you know this man?"
"He came to see me about the prince. See Prince Dimtry has to be mired soon, so I was interviewing ladies or their parents. Mr. Ialavskaia came to me and told me much about you. I never imagined you to be so beautiful." Said Victor.
"I don't know what to say or feel right now." I saying exactly what I thought.
"Its okay Rachel, have a seat and we will talk more about this." showing with his had the general direction of our table. I slowly walked that way until Victor took on swift step in front of me to pull a chair out. I slowly sat down looking at Victor's face when I was done.
"Is this like a test or something" I asked.
"No this is so I can get to know you better. Then I will have to go back and tell the Prince Dimtry about you." He said, then looked down at the menu. I looked at mine to and my jaw dropped at how high the prices are. $50 is the cheapest thing on the menu.
Just the our water came by. "Can I start you off with something to drink?"
I looked at Victor unsure of wait to say because I rarely go out to eat. "A pitcher of water, and a bottle of your finest wine. Please."
"I will be right back with that." said the waiter with a pleasant smile.
