The glare of the sun shined through Kaga's bedroom window, greeting him in his daze. He slowly realized that he was not on his bed, rather, at his desk.

"Curses!" He  hissed, recalling what he was even doing the night before.

As far as he could remember before blacking out, he was working on something. He looked down at his desk and saw nothing. Could it have walked on it's own? He could not even remember what "it" he was making. Rather than sitting there to keep pondering, the teen genius decided to start looking for said "object." He looked under the desk, under the bed and even inside the closet.

"This is the first time I am experiencing this." He muttered to himself,  heading to the bathroom to fix up before anything else.

After getting ready for  the day, he headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, and possibly find the thing he was looking for. Once he was in the kitchen, the sight of a lot of things broken took his attention. There were plates shattered on the floor, cereal boxes ripped on the edge of the sink and on the floor, and the worst of all, the sink water running, overflowing down to the floors.

"Shit." He muttered, twitching here and there.

He immediately ran to the sink and turned the water off. The culprit of the mess was found a few seconds later,  wriggling. Yes, WRIGGLING. Kaga walked over to "it" and picked it up. Apparently, he made a robotic caterpillar more than the size of his foot and the scrap of metal decided to just wreck the kitchen while he was asleep.  How could he not remember making this? Was he drunk? He shook his head, he would not drink alcohol. He dropped the robot on the floor and crushed it with his foot repeatedly.

Sighing, he went around to get cleaning supplies and fix the mess the creation made.

"There." He smiled to himself, staring at the sparkly clean kitchen. After putting away the cleaning supplies, he thought about what he was even doing in the kitchen in the first place. As his stomach grumbled, he suddenly remembered. "Oh, right- breakfast."

Aside from the cereal from earlier, all that was left for him to eat was bread. Guess he'll just have to make coffee to go with that. After making his breakfast, he sat down at the dining table and started eating. Lost in thought, he tried to remember why he even made the  robotic caterpillar in the first place. Surely, there was a reason?

His eyes darted around the room to look for a sign and to his enlightenment, he saw a calendar hanging on a wall near the stairs, which was directly in front of the living area. The dining area was just next to the living area, only separated by a counter. Kaga stood up and walked over to the calendar, holding his cup of coffee. He scanned his eyes to whatever date it was today or the following days. He always had a habit of marking dates on the calendar to help him in case he forgets something.

And he definitely did.

He accidentally downed his coffee and choked.
Today was February 12. It will be Valentine's Day on Monday. Today's Saturday.

"Ugh, I curse my incapacity to retain memories!" He hissed to himself, while trying to press down the coffee stains on his chest.

He immediately dumped his coffee mug into the sink and ran back up to his room. He sat down on at his desk and stared at the random scraps of paper strewn across his desk top. Opening each of them, he wanted to see what he was even trying to accomplish for this year's Valentine's. Not that he tried to accomplish something before…

This was the first year he wanted to do something for a girl. A girl he never really thought of doing much for. Yet, here there he was. Trying to make a gift for Midori Gurin. Once all the scratch papers were unfolded and smoothed out, he was finally able to see what kept him up for the night before. Or at least, he thought was just the night before. One night of no sleep surely can't be enough to make him lose memories, right?
