Mia was only two when her mom died of lung Cancer, and four when her dad killed himslef from depression. Ever since then she's had to stay with different aunts and uncles, cousins and family friends.
None of them could take care of her. They said she was too big of a handful they all either had too many kids all ready or never had any kids at all. She had to go to foster care by the time she was 12 years old. She felt uncomfortable the first two years. The girls were too girly for her. Always talking about boys and gossiping.
Mia loved to do girl stuff but not all the time she'd like to play with the boys. She'd love to play football and basketball and other fun sports. Every time Mia asked the boys if she could play, but they always said things like, you'll get hurt and it'll be uneven. She felt left out like there was no place for her, but that changed after one night.
