Chapter 1 unexpected allies

     After the boys went home and did their usual chores and duties they eat their dinner then went to bed. The next day they both went to the quarry as they both agreed. Jake walked around the quarry looking for Marcus and making sure no one else was there.
Jake called out "Marcus you here?"
As he called out Marcus walk up to him and tapped his shoulder.
"I'm right here"
Jake jumped forward "hey! You scared me!"
Marcus laughed and smiled.
"Sorry but you seemed distracted so how are you feeling?"
Jake smiled "Better than yesterday and thanks for that"
Marcus smiled and nodded "good well do you have yours?"
Jake holds up his rusted power guage as does Marcus.
Jake looked at them.
"We should probably clean them"
Marcus looked around and saw a shed.
"Maybe theres something in there"
Jake looked at it "let's go see"
They go to the shed and Jake tries to open the door but cant.
"

Its locked"
Marcus walked around the shed looking for another way in and finds a open window.
"I found a way in!"
Jake walks over to him and looks at the window.
"Only one of us can get up in through the window"
Marcus looked at Jake then the window.
"I'll fit plus I dont think I could lift you" he said laughing.
Jake smiled "alright then get up there"
Jake helped Marcus up and through the window. Once Marcus was inside he opened the door and let Jake in
Jake and Marcus looked around for any kind of solution and scrubber to clean the power guages. After awhile they find a solution and a wire brush.
Marcus looked over his power guage.
"So who should go first?"
Jake smiled and look at Marcus.
"Go ahead Marcus do yours first"
Once Marcus finish cleaning it they see it's a nice brass color with three slots along the back to insert orbs and a brown earth orb is inserted already and glows in the dim light of the shed.
Jake looked at it in awe
"Woah that's so cool you got an earth orb"
Marcus smiled.
"Yeah now it's your turn Jake"
Jake nodded and grabbed the wire brush and solution cleaning his power guage. Once Jake finished cleaning his it was a bronze color with the same slots as Marcus' but with a water orb inserted into it. Marcus smiled looking at it.
"Yours looks great too"
Jake smiled happily.
"Thanks"
