ARC 1: ALLEN REID
Chapter Five

A light cough broke the high tension in the air that occurred after Allen's answer to the question thrown at him. Allen looked at the other person inside the room, which he had momentarily forgotten for a moment.

"Excuse my nephew. He's just stressed." The man gave him a light smile even though his eyes looked like he's a little confused when he stared at him. Having no intention of angering anyone, he just nodded in a polite manner, accepting the excuse given before turning his full attention back to the said nephew.

"Please sign," he repeated in his usual tone. Evan gave him a long look before looking back at the folder. Inside was a single piece of paper that has the shop's name along with the name of the customer who would receive the flower, the flower to be delivered, the sender asking with the person who delivered.

As for the entire week, it's been booked to this place so the names there were all for a certain Mr.  Evan Vermillion, to be delivered a bouquet of roses, given by Ms. Diana Delina delivered by Carlos Ivan. That Friday though, the name of the deliverer was his, Allen Reid.

"Where is Carlos Mr. Reid?" Evan asked again, this time politely. He looked at the other intently.

What should I do? He asked himself. It took him a couple of seconds before deciding to just go with the flow. For the moment at least.

It's unlikely that Carl would be in trouble anyway.

"Carl is in the shop," he answered. For some reason, the two in the room looked at him with sharp eyes after he spoke.

What's the matter? He asked himself in confusion.

"Carl?" the unknown male that was there inside the room asked. He gave a nod while still waiting for the paper to be signed. Unfortunately though, Evan clearly looked like he had no intention of signing at the moment. He sighed.

It's tiring to stand up! He complained inside his mind. Well, since the two clearly looked like they have every intention of delaying, he decided to do some match making.

How to though...

"Friends of Carl?" he asked. The question came out awkward as he wasn't used to being friendly with others. He did not care though. He had to make Carl & Evan happen.

He wanted to leave this world and laze about in his beautiful space.

Though he himself isn't sure where he was going with his question, he continued. There wasn't much he could do anyway. He is a novice in these things.

"Yes. We're close friends." The decisiveness in Evan's voice caught him off guard.

Really?  He asked himself. I'm pretty sure that's not true.

"He did not say that to me." Allen has a vague feeling that he's doing the right thing even if he did not understand what is 'right' about his sentence.

Suddenly, someone appeared right in front of him that took him off guard as he was still focusing on Evan Vermillion. It was that unknown male. He seemed like he literally teleported right in front of him, obstructing his view of the man he was just talking to.

Truthfully, despite not paying much attention to the other after the excuse, the man's presence is noticeable enough to make him stand out even if he was being ignored. People like that normally are dominant people that are used to the power they possess. They don't usually like not being acknowledged..
