Chp 11

Lexi's POV

I walk out of the cemetery and towards my car. I look back and see my sister sitting by her tombstone waving at me. I smile slightly and wave back. I sit in my car and heavily exhale. I buckle up and start to drive home. It was quite dark outside so i had to turn on the headlights. On my way home i started tearing up. One second my life's great and then everything is ruined.

I had to pull over since my vision started to get blurry. I put my head on the steering wheel and started sobbing. I wish corbyn was here to  wrap his warm arms around me and comfort me. Over the past few days me and corbyn started to get close. He apologized for everything and i forgave him. We are friends right now even though deep down, there is still a part of me which wants us to be more than friends.

Once i calmed down alittle, i started making my journey back home. While i was on my way home it started raining. I turned on the wipers so i can get a clearer view. The tears streaming down my face and the heavy rain caused my vision to be blurry that i didn't even see two headlights approaching me. I immediately came to my senses and swerved the car. My car started heading towards a tree with full speed. I tried pressing the breaks to get my car to stop but it didn't work. I shut my eyes tight and waited for the impact.

I open my eyes and see that I'm sitting on a swing beside my sister. I look around and see were in a park where me and my sister always went to.

"Du kennst Lexi, du musst aufwachen, alle warten auf dich." she said looking at me with hopeful eyes.

(You know Lexi you gotta wake up, everyone is waiting for you)

"I know i just don't wanna leave you," i said looking down.

"Lexi, I'll be alright, okay? You gotta wake up," she said getting up.

I nodded and went to hug her goodbye. She hugged me tight and slowly darkness started to take over. The last thing i heard her say was,

'I'm sorry,'

I wake up on a hospital bed wearing a white gown. I press the emergency button and a nurse comes rushing in.

"Mrs. Rose, you're awake, I'm Dr. Brown" she said smiling.

"Please, call me Lexi,"

"Okay Lexi, you got into a car crash and someone found you in the car and immediately called the ambulance. When you got here you had to be taken to surgery immediately. After your surgery was over, your heart stopped beating for a whole minute. You're heart started to beat after that whole minute. When you got into the crash, you hit your head very hard which put you into coma," she said.

"Oh," was the only thing i could say.

"Do you want me to call someone to pick you up?" she asked.

"Yes please," i replied.

A few minutes later Zach and Jonah barges in. When they look at me they looked really reliefed.

"Lexi!" Zach screams and hugs me.

Jonah joins aswell. They both pull away, they both sit down beside me on the bed. We talked for a while but then i noticed. They both looked alot older.

"How long havd i been in coma?" i asked.

Both of their smiles dropped.

"The doctor didn't tell you?" zach asked.

"No..." i replied.

"Lexi, you've been brain dead for two years,"
