A war with China was the last thing we wanted, we had been in peace for twenty years, the United States was finally a place of prosperity once again, we hadn’t been in a war since the “War on Terror” ended with Afghanistan in 2014. After losing over seven thousand men in that war we didn’t want another. Now, here I was, a twenty year old Marine headed to war with the other superpower of the world. It wasn’t just China and the U.S. either, China was alliance with North Korea and Iran, we were backed by a few brave N.A.T.O. countries, Japan, and South Korea, even with more countries, we didn’t have nearly the amount of people or the massive economy that the Chinese had gained in the past few decades, we had to hope that India and Russia would get involved and help us, without them this would be a very long and deadly war. It started when China attacked Japan and South Korea, we didn’t let that happen, we went into total war, I was one of the draftees, now I’m being shipped to the place that our “ancestors” fought in, I’m being shipped to Vietnam with a million other soldiers and Marines.
