James fluttered his eyes open and squinted at the sunlight that was peeking through the grey curtains. He moved his hand on the nightstand, trying to find his glasses blindly after rubbing his eyes and yawning. His hand finally touched the cold glasses, feeling its shape. James sat up and put his glasses on, looking at the empty, unmade bed of his roommate. He run his hand through his messy sand-colored hair and got up from his bed hastily. He was wearing a pair of plaid green boxers, some socks and a slouchy, black long sleeved shirt. Hearing the water run from the bathroom he quickly identified where Kieran was and walked towards the window, scanning the empty campus grounds to pass the time. Soon the brunette stepped out of the bathroom, wearing boxers and a black Beatles t-shirt. At the sight of James, Kieran spoke in his usual musical but deep voice
"Hey, good morning! Did you sleep okay?"
"Morning. Yeah, i slept like a baby. I was pretty tired." said James, turning around at his roommate's voice, taking in his appearance. After saying their 'good morning's and getting ready, the boys headed out somewhere to eat. They came across a cute little diner with tasty food that was pretty affordable. Finishing their pancakes they walked around the beautiful, cold streets of Portland and wandered around the campus, while getting to know each other and meeting a bunch of other students.

Kieran went to the library, wandering through the tall bookshelves that looked like skyscrapers, checking out some books. He went outside soon after. He was walking through the snowy campus, breathing in the calming, cold air when he ran into his old friend, Alex. Excited by the sudden encounter they started to catch up, enjoying each other's company. Alex introduced a couple of his friends and his girlfriend to Kieran. Seth, a curly haired, big guy who spoke maximum of 20 words a day. He wore a jean jacket and had narrow maroon eyes. Jason, a classic jock with light brown hair and an undeniably handsome face. He had a muscular body and was wearing a dark green and white football team jacket underneath his coat. As obvious as it is, he was the football team captain. And finally Mia, a slender Asian girl with straight, long, shiny black hair and light brown, narrow eyes. She was very attractive with full red lips, slightly hooked nose and an oval face.
Alex was leaning with his back on the tall maple tree with Mia next to him, his dull grey eyes looking lovingly at his girl, while wind blew through his wavy, dirty blonde hair. Seth and Jason were sitting on the bench underneath the tree, Seth was desperately trying to light a cigarette, while Jason was restricting his hands, and trying to get his lighter, not letting him smoke. They were arguing and bickering about smoking, while hitting each other playfully, laughing and swearing. Jason was saying something about not wanting to constantly be inhaling his smoke since it could damage his performance at football, while Seth was laughing, calling him a pretentious bitch.
"So, are you going to be at the party?" asked Mia in her cold but alluring voice, looking over at Kieran while leaning on her boyfriend's shoulder.
"A party?" asked Kieran, arching his eyebrows slightly.
Jason, punching Seth for the last time, who was smoking with a victorious expression on his face, stood up from the bench and walked over to Kieran.
"Yeah dude, I'm having a party, Friday night, at my place. You've gotta come, grab a friend or whatever and get your ass over there. There's gonna be a shit ton of people, hot chicks...." he said those last two words in a quiet voice, leaning over to Kieran and winking " and, most importantly, a shit ton of booze!"
"Fuck yeah!" shouted Seth from the bench. Alcohol was the only thing that could excite Seth in the whole entire world. Everyone laughed and Jason, putting his muscular arm over Kieran asked-
"So whaddya say buddy, you coming or what?"
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." said Kieran smiling, as he patted Jason's back and another wave of laughter washed over the carefree college students.

James was in his dormitory talking to a blonde, skinny girl and her friends.
"Haven't you heard?! A guy killed himself in one of the rooms in dormitory 5A. It was kind of a long time ago, but nobody has ever lived in that room since then, people say it's haunted. So they locked it up. Nobody has been there in ages!" said the blonde girl excitingly, who had introduced herself as Sabrina.
"Some even say that the spirit of the poor boy still lives there and wanders through the empty halls at night, searching for a sad soul to devour. OooOo..." added a brunette girl with a ponytail in jean overalls spookily and laughed loudly. She rolled her bright blue eyes and raised her arched eyebrows at her friend.
"Really Sab? That story is so old and nobody has actually seen the ghost, like ever."
James was happy to hear the words of the brunette girl, Mellisa, who shared James' skepticism.
"Sorry Sabrina, i have to side with Mel here, i'm not really a believer in the paranormal." said James shrugging, while Melissa stuck her tongue out to the pouting blonde.
"Ugh, whatever. Just remember that ghosts usually hate skeptics and they haunt them the most!" exclaimed Sabrina, pointing her little finger at the two as she cautiously eyed them with her sparkling brown eyes. James and Mel couldn't help but laugh at the hilarious, yet cute sight. Sabrina, furrowing her brows, spotted someone in the hallway and her face lit up as she proceeded to call him over.
"Hey! Hey Dex! Get over here and tell these skeptic ass kids about the ghost that lives in here!" she shouted in her sweet, childish voice while waving her hand at the redhead that was grinning at her.
