"Class dismissed have a great summer everyone." my teacher said as the last bell of the day rang. I ran outside to meet my friends Hayes, Makenzi, and Drew.
"Hey Paige get over here!" Hayes yelled. He was standing under a tree near the baseball fields with Makenzi and Drew.
"Hey! So what are we doing on the first day of summer break?" I asked excitedly.
"Well we were thinking head over to your house and swim for a little bit and then get some ice cream." Drew said.
"Okay let's go!" I said and started running.
"Hey! This wasn't supposed to be a race was it?" Makenzi yelled, she was of course far behind me, Hayes, and Drew. She does cheerleading and me, Hayes, and Drew all do lacrosse and Hayes and Drew do football.
"Oh well!" Drew yelled back to her as we crossed the road to my house.
"Hey Mr. McFarland!" Hayes said as we walked into my house.
"Hello Hayes, hi Drew. Where's Makenzi?" My dad said and me, Hayes, and Drew looked at each other and laughed.
"She is still running." I said laughing.
"Okay well you kids have fun I'm going to the store to pick up a few things." my dad said as he started walked to the door.
"See ya dad!" I said as me, Drew, and Hayes ran upstairs to get our bathing suits.
"Do you guys have bathing suits?" I asked.
"Yeah I left mine here last time." said Hayes and Drew at the same time.
"Oh yeah I think they are in the laundry room. You guys can go get them and get changed in there and I'll be right there." I said as I walked into my room and grabbed my dark red bikini and a light blue one for Makenzi. I got changed and ran downstairs just as Makenzi walked in.
"Hey Kenz. Here's a bathing suit." I said as I tossed it to her and walked into the kitchen to grab a snack.
"Thanks!" she yelled as she walked into the bathroom to put it on.
"Ok let's go guys!" Drew said as him and Hayes walked out of the laundry room.
"Makenzi we will meet you outside!" I yelled and ran out the door, jumping into the cool pool water.
