When Luke and Emily met in first grade, they were acquaintances, and now Emily has dreams about him. It was as if the stars aligned in their favor. They started hanging out in sixth grade and in November of seventh grade they started dating. Luke loved her but he never showed affection until he handed his jacket to her. Her eyes lit up and she had hope in him.
"Th-thank you Luke," he smiled at her. Then he high fived her.
She got disappointed again, "maybe he will never be affectionate." She loved him but he never loved her back; they were only best friends. Everyone kept on saying that they should break up, but still she persisted with the love. She had never thought that Luke would want to hold her hand. One day, randomly at recess he took her hand and put it in his. She was internally dying, "FINALLY."
She blushed, Alice looked over and said, "red alert." Emily smiled at Luke's hand and then at his face.
