Back In The Game

Hinata POV: Age 10, 5th grade

My head was pounding as I watched as Gaara passed the ball to Naruto and he started dribbling up court. The people were cheering and I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. I brushed my hair from my face.

"BALL!" Naruto shouted as he through the ball towards me.

I watched as it flew through the air and landed into my hands. I pivoted to the basket. I looked at the guy in front of me. His gray hair was covering one of his eyes. I noticed his twin brother at the post. 10! 9! I made a plan. 8! 7! I toke a step towards him and faked a step to the left with my left foot. 6! 5! I then used my left foot to make a space between me and him. 4! 3! I then drove to the basket and crossed over the ball from my left hand to my right as the gray haired mans twin tried to snatch the ball. 2! I toke one last step and landed a lay up. 1!

There was a mixture of Whoops, mostly for the Konoha side and Boo's from the music village side.

"Good Game Hina." Gaara said giving me a fist bump.

"Hinata you did awesome." Kiba said giving me a hug.

"THAT WAS AMAZING HINA!!!" Naruto shouted as he picked me up.

"Put Hinata Sama down!" Neji yelled.

"HINA! HINA! HINA! HINA!" The crowd cheered.

The whole team carried me as we made it out side.

"Good job Hinata." Shikamaru are team manager said as they put me down.

"Thank you." I said as I smiled.

"GOOD JOB NEJI SENPAI!" Tenten cheered as she jumped Neji.

"Get off of me we are just friends and will always be." Neji grunted.

I watched as the cheerleaders came out of the doors and started to talk to the basketball players.

I was the only girl on my team ever since I was 6. I loved it and it made me feel happy. I was gonna be a basketball star no matter what came in my way.

Hinata POV: Age 16, 11th grade

"See you at you're party Hina." Kiba said as he waved off.

"Bye." I responded as Neji, Tenten, and I walked home. Neji grabbed Tenten's hand.

"And you guys said you would never date." I laughed as I toke my hair down. Neji and I had just left basketball practice.

"I know my little love bug just couldn't admit he loved me." Tenten mocked as she squeezed his cheek. I could see a small blush on his face, I laughed.

"Let's just focus on Hinata's birthday party for now." Neji said as he changed the subject.

"EVERYONE IT'S HINA'S BIRTHDAY!" Tenten screamed before kissing Neji.

"Get a room." I said before walking away.

"Hina you look great." Tenten stated.
