"Ye-ouch..." I looked down at my leg. The cut wasn't too deep, but it would slow me down. I glanced over my shoulder. Only three anbu were left.
Okay, I can do this.
I ran into the pond up ahead and turned into a takifugu rubripes, a kind of puffer fish. When the anbu made it down I paralized them and pushed them up to the surface.
"'Kay then. I'd better be fast before more show up." I healed my leg up, but since I only knew a tiny bit of medical justu, it took a while. I stood up and tested it out.
"Seems okay. I need to find him fast. Maybe he can help." I made sure no one was following me and set out.
After about four days I found an akatsuki hideout. After going through about a few dozen or so traps, I found there was nobody there.
"Oh, come on!" I yelled. I knew that It would take a while to actually find the real one, but I was running low on food, and exausted. I decided I would go into town to rest up. Since I was so recently branded a missing-nin, I figured a tiny town like Kome Town wouldn't know about me yet.
When I got there, I got a hotel room and went to the market. I got back to find my room ready for me. I collapsed on the bed and thought about all that had happened...
I was in my room, hiding in my special hiding place. I had made it when I was nine years old. I was drawing like I usually was, but this time it was not for fun, it was to keep me distracted. I was only 12 years old, but people already feared my kekkei-genkai, the ability to shape-shift, called henshin. My parents had already been taken, but my little sister was brought to an orphanage, for she didn't posess henshin.
They are so cold-hearted! I thought angrily. How could they take my parents away from me and my little 5-year old sister, Niji?!
Just then I heard the door slam open. I held my breath. I would have just changed form and left, but shortly after I was born, there was a chakra tracker implanted in my body, so when I changed, they could find me.
"WE KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE, YOU DEMON CHILD! COME OUT!" I was terrified, but I kept my tears in. I heard them destroying my room, but I didn't care. I had everything that meant anything to me down here, all packed up in case they found me. Suddenly I heard one of them say,
"Enough is enough." and I heard them leaving, and relaxed for a moment. But I knew they wouldn't give up that easilly. I was the last of my clan that wasn't already dead or a missing-nin. I packed all of my things and put on my backpack, ready to run for it, when I heard them come back.
"Okay, freak. Find a little girl, or you WILL die now." a male voice said.
"B-byakugan!" a woman's voice this time. I froze.
No! They'll get me!
"She's right there..." The Hyuuga whispered.
"Water Style! Giant Vortex Justsu!" A man shouted. The next moment I was surrounded by fast moving water. I kicked open the door and jumped out, choking and coughing up water. Suddenly a foot connected with my jaw. I was knocked into a wall, the force of my crash shattering it. I got up as fast as I could and ran out the hole, with my assasins close behind. By the time I got to the village gate, they were at my heels. I had no choice...They already knew where I was, and if they caught me, I was as good as dead.
"HENSHIN!"
I pictured a peregrine falcon. I felt the usual ruch as my body transformed, the strange feel of the animals keen instints and senses. I felt so...free.... As a bird. I could fly anywhere. No one could stop me. I swiftly flew down on the men at about 50mph, not enough to totally crack their skulls, and hit them with my talons. They were knocked out, and nobody else seemed to be around, so I flew away, as fast as my powerful wings could take me.
After I was a fair distance away, I transformed back so they couldn't detect me.
'This is going to be tough...I'm awful at Taijutsu and Genjutsu...and average at ninjutsu...I've always had to rely on my kekkei-genkai, but now...'
