Chapter 10

~Secret Admirer~

I step off the train with Neville, Hannah, Susan and Hermione, immediately spot my sister's pale blonde hair. "Luna!" I call to her. She turns around and waves and I see a smirking Draco walking away. Why was he talking to my little sister? Whatever, I'll ask her later.

"Bye Y/n! See you after Christmas!" Susan and Hannah say, walking to their families. I wave and then turn to Hermione.

"We gotta make sure those boys figure out who the bloody hell Nicholas Flamel is! I'll see you after Holidays, Merry Christmas Hermione!" I say, as she giggles and walks towards her parents. I turn to Neville and pull him into a hug.

"Be expecting a present!" Neville calls to me as he walks towards his grandma. I call back,

"You too, Nev!" I giggle and blush to myself. I run over to Luna and engulf her in a bear hug.

"Ah! Y/n you're going to squash me!" Luna's muffled voice says. I laugh and set her free.

"Nice to see you too, sis, let's go!" I say, following Daddy and pulling Luna along.

"So Daddy, I was thinking about presents and-" he interrupts me.

"Don't worry, I'll take you girls to London to get gifts," Daddy speaks up as he pulls my suitcase into the house. I smile and walk slowly into the dining room and kitchen. The house to me is so familiar yet so unfamiliar at the same time. I skip to my room and unpack.

"Y/n! Can you please show me some magic?" Luna asks me. I laugh.

"Sorry Moon, it's against wizarding laws," I say,  setting my picture of mom, dad, me and Luna up. I use her nickname against her sometimes, evil, I know.

"Oh c'mon, Flower!" Luna retorts, using my nickname against me. How evil.

"Fine, but only a small spell," I give in to my little sister. She claps happily and then watches me eagerly as I pull my wand out from my boot. "Lumos!" I say and a bright light emits from my wand.

"Woah," Luna stares in amazement.

"Nox," I say, making the light disappear. Luna stares, her jaw dropped.

"I'm practicing that once I get a wand!" Luna says to herself. I laugh. Such a Ravenclaw!

"C'mon girls! We traded in that wizard currency for muggle money and we have to use it!" Dad says as we entered London town square.

I first run to the jewelry store to get Hannah and Susan's gifts and then to the candy store for Ron's gift. Hope he likes muggle candy!

Once I reach the last store, the gardening store I blush. What to get Neville? I had Hannah and Susan's jewelry, Hermione's books, I was making Harry's present myself, Ron's candy, Luna's charm, but now I needed something for Neville.

I walk into the gardening store and look at all the vegetation. Something immediately catches my eye. It's the same lavender and lights blue plant from Professor Sprout's greenhouse. I pick it up and immediately buy it.

Before we leave town to go home I buy a lock box and it's key. It's covered in roses and hearts. I plan to put every letter from Neville in here. I sigh and blush at the thought of Neville.

When we reach home sweet home I walk to my room to wrap the presents I had and then get to work on Harry's. I look at my bedside table, trying to find my quill. I see a letter sitting there. It was addressed to me so it couldn't be a mistake. The detail I immediately noticed was the heart-shaped seal. I open it and read it suspiciously.

"Dear Y/n,
Hello, I know you may be confused but please, don't discard this letter. I think you're the prettiest and smartest girl at Hogwarts. The way you stood up to Draco Malfoy was absolutely brilliant. You're the most breathtaking girl I've seen in my life. Be expecting a Christmas gift from me, goodbye Love.
                      Sincerely, your Secret Admirer,"

I blushed at all the compliments this person was giving me. I wondered who it could be from. Obviously it's someone who goes to Hogwarts AND somebody who knows I stood up to Malfoy. Was it? No, we hate each other. Could it be Neville? No, he doesn't like me like that. Maybe Harry or Ron? No Ron and Hermione are destined to be together and I don't think Harry has the time to have a crush on anyone.

Hmm, I'm so stumped.
