I know I'm saying this kind of late, but if you're uncomfortable with cursing, I have a handful in this story and don't plan on changing that. I'm tell you this now because its plenty in this chapter.

“So,” Elli said slowly, “he asked you out Saturday?”
“Yes,” I answered yet again.
“And you said yes?” Natalie asked.
“Yes,” I said again. They gave each other a look before Natalie took ten dollars from her pocket and handed it to Elli. “You guys betted that he would ask me out?”
“Well, yeah. And I won!” Elli said smiling happily. The other girls in the locker room gave her a funny look before continuing what they were doing. I frowned at them. I cannot believe that they actually betted on Alexander asking me out. It’s only been half an hour since then, but it was still fresh in my mind. I couldn’t help but smile as I remembered him asking me.
“It was pretty obvious he would,” Natalie said shaking her head thoughtfully. She pulled her top on and threw her gym clothes in her bag. She shut her locker and turned to us, checking the time. “Crap, I have to go. Felix is waiting for me.”
“By Nat,” Elli and I called as she hurried from the room.
“You really like this boy, huh?” Elli asked smiling at me. I smiled too and shrugged. She rolled her eyes and grabbed her bag. “Ready to go?”
“Yep,” I said slinging my bag over my shoulder.
We left the locker room and headed toward the front of the school. Elli hurried off to where her mom was waiting, leaving me standing by my car as I waited for Zoë. When I saw here coming from the building, an infuriated look was on her face. Brandon was behind her trying to get her to stop. I made my way over when he grabbed her arm and they started arguing.
“—it’s best to just get rid of it,” I heard him say. I stopped dead in my tracks as I processed his words. Zoë had this horror stricken look on her face, covering her stomach protectively. “If it’s about the cost, I’ll pay for it. I'm not ready to be a father. Please understand Zoë.”
“You want me to kill my baby?” she whispered. He sighed and smiled, placing his hands on her shoulders. Her face suddenly turned furious and she bought her hand up to slap him. “You bastard, how could you! I'm having this baby, whether you like it or not, and you'll never see it.”
She turned away and saw me. She ran to me and threw her arms around me crying. I put my arms around her and comforted her. Brandon looked at her with a mixture of regret and annoyance. His eyes collided with me and they turned cold. I could see him put the blame on my just from the look he was giving me. As if I was the one to tell Zoë to keep the baby and to keep it away from him, which I never did. Though not letting him see the baby was a good thing, I hope. He stalked away, shoulder the crowd that suddenly gathered around us.
“Let’s go Zoë,” I whispered wanting to get her away. She pulled away and wiped at her eyes. She turned toward the crowd and gave them a straight look.
“If you hadn’t heard already, I'm pregnant,” she announced clearly. That earned murmurs throughout the crowd. “It’s Brandon McAllen’s baby and if any girl wants to go after him, then go right ahead. Just knows he’s a dirty, rotten cheater and he’ll deny his baby if he gets you pregnant.”
She turned away and walked off, leaving everyone to gossip as much as they want. I hurried after her. she got into the car and said nothing as we headed home. She was staring at the window absently and I was desperate for answers. Finally having enough of the silence, I asked the question that was bugging me.
