In our day and age, we are so dependent on technology, more specifically wifi, that we feel empty, and we don't know what to do without it. My wifi went out after we had someone replace our DVR box. The feeling I had for the entire 4 or 5 hours was empty. Boredom crept up on me within a minute. The only thing I could do was watch the simple, boring television as Family Feud kept flashing by as time went by. My mom came home from work about an hour into the house, expecting to relax on the couch and check her emails. I inform her of the misfortune that has befell, and we both sat quietly on the couches, only commenting on the ridiculous amount of snowfall that was happening around us. The awkward silence was broken when my dad came home, dumbfounded by how this could have happened. At this point, the only thing we could do was wait for Shaw to help after we called. I have never been more bored in my life because I was so used to the stimulation that I got from quickly going between the multiple apps, from Instagram, to Youtube, and Snapchat. We are addicted to technology and wifi. Doing one thing like watching TV seems slow to us because we're not used to not doing a million things at once.

Just before our fondue dinner, after what felt like an eternity, my phone started buzzing and a million pings went off. My mind started up again like a car that was recently jump-starting at the thought that I could continue my multitasking once more.
