I hope my human won't mind that I'm sneaking out. I hope she isn't looking for me everytime.
The window eventually got big enough for me to fit through. The blood still bled from the glass.
I wonder if my human noticed.
There was the one I was looking for, Admiral.
I trotted over to him, my tail high. I sat down in front of him, scanning his paws and his face.
Was that....blood?
"Patches." He scoffed.
"I can't believe I'm taking you to my clan. I'm risking my life for a collared cat." He hissed.
"N-no need.." I stuttered.
His cold eyes seemed surprised. Like a human vehicle was about to hit him. "Why so?!" He hissed.
"You have blood on your paws. I can't go with a murderer!" I stood up, my fur sticking up in fear.
"Now, now, Patches. You'll get used to it. Come on, don't be so stubborn." He growled.
I slowly walked back, fearful. "Who did you kill, Admiral?!"
"They were in my way.." he looked down. I saw that his once perfect feet had claws sticking out. His tail was held high in dominance.
"And now, Patches, you're getting in my way!" He hissed.
"Don't hurt me! I have a human to go home to!" My fur stuck up way more. I was so scared. What if he had a murderous plan for me?!
"Your No-Fur doesn't care about you! With me, you'll have a better den, Patches!" His pupils got larger, then smaller.
That's when..I realized.
Ow!
He was on top of me, already clawed at my fur. "COME WITH ME, PATCHES!! DONT LET GO OF THIS PERFECT OPPORTUNITY!!"
I yowled and hissed, scratched and screamed, but nothing got him off of me.
It looked like fighting back was the only option.
I kicked at his back legs, my claws out. I jumped onto him, clawing his face. I then jumped back, seeing if he was too weak.
"Oh..Patches..thats...ENOUGH!" He hissed.
He leaped at me, clawing my ears, and my stomach. I screamed in agony and tried to break free, but he didn't let me.
He grabbed my neck and threw me against a tree. I had a broken bone for sure.
I tried to get up, agony with every try, but I just ended up falling.
"I gave you a chance, Patches. You wanted to live the clan life. I don't understand why you're being so difficult." He slowly clawed my back.
Blood dripped down, leaving marks of blood on the grass. Was death near?
I reached my paw up, but what I was gonna do didn't go as planned.
He grabbed my paw and threw me against a rock. I screamed loudly.
"Take my request lightly next time, Patches. Or you'll be left for dead. Wolf meat." He walked off.
"And don't ever think you're stronger than me!" He yelled.
I could care less about him or his stupid clan. I was gonna die. Alone. Without anyone. My biggest fear.
I felt my soul exit my body slowly as my eyes closed, trying to stay open.
The taste of metallic blood hit my mouth.
I struggled to my feet, trying so hard to stay up.
I needed to get home. Now. As quick as possible, at least.
My human wasn't there, and neither was her vehicle.
Did she not see me dying?
