Lets Stay Best Friends

Chapter One

Samantha's POV

It was lunch break...As usual I held my food and went directly to my table to ve greeted by my best friend, Jack.

Jack is the most popular guy in school whereas I was kind of a nerd...

I still remember the first time we met...

it was photo day, the school took photos of students and put them in a book, I really didn't like having my photo taken.

I was ten years...My mom forced me to wear a pink dress, it has many flowers drawn on it, I really liked the dress.

When little I wasn't that confident girl I was now, I used to get bullied a lot...

Okay back to my story

I entered the school shyly...I waljed slowly to reach my locker and here it happens...Selena shows up wearing a blue sparkle dress that has a black belt on her, but with that amount of makeup, she looked like a clown, I started laughing about her appearance until she came up to me...

" what are u laughing about, u jerk", Serena said.

" what...I wasn't laughing", I said quietly

" U looked at me and laughed, don't lie, I saw u", she said.

" I...I...I'm sorry", I said and was ready to cry. I'm a sensitive girl, what do u expect from me.

" I'm the one who should apologize", selena said.

" But u did nothing wrong", I said remaining calm and holding myself from crying

" Not yet", she said with evil eyes

And here it was she throw at me her food which was noodles and then her juice, then laughed and left me crying there all alone...

My dressed was ruined, all the school was looking at me, pointing fingers and laughing which made me cry more...I felt embarrassed and hurt...

Then a boy showed up and shouted, " there's nothing to look at, everyone go back to ur classes, we're not having a show here".

I didn't look up at him, I stayed in my place crying.

It was few seconds until everyone disappeared.

He held his hand out for me to take it, but I didn't.

He sat next to me and hugged me.

" I'm Jack, and u are", the boy said.

I didn't dare look at him

"I'm Samantha", I said.

Thank God my tears were coming to an end.

"Nice to meet u", Jack said then stood up and held his hand out for me another time to take it...

I held his hand and he took me to the bathroom...then I laughed a little

He looked at me confused...

" what are u laughing about", he said.

I didn't answer.

"c'omon tell me, I promise I won't hurt u like selena", he said smiling.

" u entered the girl's bathroom", I said with my head down.

" I knew u won't enter the boy's, at least I made u laugh", Jack said.

I stood in my place and smiled at him.

" Come lets clean u up", he said.

he gave me few wet tissues to clean my dress with them, while he started taked noodles from my hair.

When we finished I thanked him.

He smiled at me then said, "I won't let anyone hurt u, I promise. Just stay with me and everything is going to be alright."

I said nothing just nodded.

From that time we started hanging out together till we became best friends. I really can't believe he kept his promise till now, he never left me alone and always defended me.

Okay back to the present.

" Sam", Jack yelled. Sam is my nickname, I didn't like it a lot since u know Sam is a boy's name, but when Jack says it, I feel happy and accept it.

I sat on the chair next to him.

" I yelled a lot, but u weren't listening to me", Jack said.

" oh, sorry...my mind was in another place", I said.

" U were smiling to urself", Jack said.

" I remembered something", I siad.

" when we first met", ge said teasing me.

" u know me so well", I said laughing.

" thats why I'm ur best friend", he said then joined laughing with me.

Bailey showed up, I called her to come sit with us, she came gladly to us.

Bailey is my other best friend. I needed a girl best friend after all. I can't tell Jack everything especially my love life cuz he would laugh and tell me that I'm stupid.

Bailey came and sat next to me.

" what are u two laughing about", Bailey said.

" Nothing that important", Jack said.

Bailey just nodded.

" So how are both of u", Bailey said.

I looked at Jack and realised he didn't wanna answer.

" we're great", I siad smiling at her.

" I need to go, see u later Sam, bye Bailey", Jack said then left.

Bailey came closer to me.

" I can't believe till now u haven't had the courage to tell him how u feel towards him", she said.

" what are u talking about", I looked at her in a confused look.

" why haven't u tell him, that u love him", she said.

" I don't love Jack, we're best friends, take the idea out of ur mind", I said getting angry.

" don't try to deny it", she said then continued, " u don't see the way u look into his eyes, whenever u see him, the sparkles come in", she said.

" Bailey take the idea of ur mind, we're best friends and nothing is going to change", I told her while standing and going out of the door.

Bailey never gives up...She tells me that Jack and I are like soul mates, we wear made for each other, but I don't think so.

I like him a s a friend, nothing more.

The girl can't believe me...She been saying the same thing for the last 3 years...I'm really getting bored of her talk. She could be sometimes so annoying. What have I done in my life to deserve this.
