I took a decent look at myself in the mirror, making sure that what I was wearing wasn't a bad choice. I had on a black, skin tight dress, that cut off mid thigh. Hugging at my neck was a gold necklace my mother had gifted me for my twentieth birthday. I finished off my look with black heels and golden hoops that dangled perfectly from my ears. Tonight was one of those nights where I actually felt good about myself. A night where I could finally enjoy myself and not have to worry about my studies. The only difference was, I was going solo. I didn't mind though, I knew Jungkook was busy, I respect what he does and I fully trust him. Although sometimes, he doesn't fully put in the same amount of trust I do with him. Right now, he is situated in London, working for his father's company. He tells me all about the pressures he faces and how strict his father is with him. He used to enjoy working along side his father. He would tell me all about looking up to him. I wonder how much that's changed now.

me: i'm tagging along with some
friends so don't worry too much!! xx

jeon cena: okay please be careful!
call me when you get home!
i love you.

me: will do. love you too :)

I read Jungkook's message a couple more times before placing it in my purse. I knew that if I told him I was going alone, he'd change his mind and wouldn't want me leaving the house.

I quickly made my way downstairs, out the door, and in the car, checking the time here and there, making sure I wasn't running late.

I had finally arrived, not thinking much about what I was getting myself into. As I walked out of the car, I saw what looked like thousands of cars parked outside. Suddenly, it felt like my anxiety was going to shoot through the sky. I wonder how dumb I looked as I reassured myself that I was going to be okay.

After a couple of minutes, I finally had the courage to walk inside the party of people chattering and laughing. A couple stares here and there, but nothing too extreme. I heard a couple of girls whisper my name, making me feel a bit self-conscious. "Wait! Isn't that Jungkook's girlfriend? Ahri, right?" I took a look around, Everyone around me seemed to have someone with them. I just hoped a couple of familiar faces would be here too. Maybe I won't be so alone.

"Ahri!! You made it!" The shout of my name made me turn my head to see who was calling for me. A girl with long dark hair and a beaming white smile stood in front of me. "Oh my goodness!! Soyeon!! Is that you? I almost didn't recognize you!" She had such a beautiful figure and height! Last time I saw Soyeon, she was very skinny and was nothing but shy. But now, she looks better then ever. She reminded me so much of a model. "Of course it's me, silly!! I didn't think I changed that much!! Did I?" She asked, through her kid like smile. Her smile was perfect, there was no flaw within her. "Sometimes change is good!" I stated.

Soyeon and I used to hate each other back in middle school. Well, more like, I hated her. She started dating my crush the last year of middle school and she knew damn well that I liked him. She'd go on and on about how cute he was and how generous of a boyfriend he was whenever he'd shove chocolates in her locker. Now, they live happily together in an apartment in Seoul. To be honest, I'm happy for her, she's very successful and very smart.

Anyway, we became friends the third year of our high school career. She was nothing but a sweetheart, always cared about everyone and everything. It was adorable, I admit. Later on, we joined the girls soccer team for our school and even tutored little kids for fun. She was everything I could ask for in a friend.

"Look at you, girl!! You look stunning too!" She exclaimed, grabbing onto my hands and wiggling them around with excitement. "You're crazy! I haven't changed one bit!"

Soyeon and I started drifting apart as soon as we graduated high school. We did text each other at times, trying to keep in touch, but that didn't last as long as I thought. Overall, I felt quiet empty, as if a part of me was missing. I figured she was busy, so I never felt the urge to communicate with her.

"What brings you here?" I asked, moving a strand of hair away from my face. "Well, Kai and I wanted time away from the city, and wanted to party it up like we used to!" She shot me a wink, letting go of my hands. She looked around for a bit before asking me where Jungkook was at. A puzzled look on her face began to arise. "You didn't breakup with him, did you?" She asked. "No, of course not. He's just out of town at the moment. He's been working with his father for a couple of weeks now. I believe he'll be back in a week or so." I faked giggle, letting it drag out for more than I intended it to. "I swear if he hurts you in any way shape or form, I will hurt him!" She retorted. "He'd never. I trust him." But do I really trust him? What if he starts talking to someone else behind my back? What if he has a whole relationship with a beautiful London girl who happens to be a model? I figured Soyeon noticed the concern look on my face, so she quickly changed the subject. "You want a drink?" She asked, giving me her cheesy smile again. I nodded, following her into the crowd of sweaty bodies. The atmosphere of the room was so hot, it felt like I was suffocating.

We finally made it through everyone and into the kitchen. "What do you want?" She asked, looking through the cabinets for a shot glass. "Whiskey is fine." I said, fiddling around with my fingers, and then playing around with the hem of my dress. "Here ya go!" She slid the glass towards me while taking a gulp of her drink, and then slamming it on the table. I drank mine as well, the burning sensation of the liquid felt so good as it trickled down my throat. She offered me another one, I accepted. Soon enough, I started feeling jittery after six shots.

"Let's dance!!" She said, shouting over the music, she tugged at my arm like a little kid. Her face said it all, she looked like a child when they see a basket full of candy. "Alright!" I agreed, chuckling softly at the sight of her smile. We walked our way to the crowd, dancing like idiots to the music, moving our bodies side to side, loosing all control of our body.

This was the feeling I forgot existed. The feeling that made me feel like I was floating in the clouds and I would never come down. I felt the rhythm of the music pumping through my veins, like waves of an ocean. The ground felt like it was shaking with every step I took. My vision became blurrier by the second, everything felt as if it was slowing down. I liked this feeling more than I wanted to. If I could, I would want to feel this way forever. The pounding of my head, rang through my ears. The smell of vodka and cigarettes filled up the air.

I looked around the room, trying to find Soyeon, but she was nowhere to be seen. At this point, I felt a little tired and too lost to function. I could barely keep my eyes open, that's until I found Jungkook in the crowd of dancing bodies. He was dressed in all black, wearing his Balenciaga bucket hat. "Jungkook!!" I called his name, but he did not budge. I shouted his name one last time at the top of my lungs, hoping he'd turn around, but he did no such thing. I made my way towards him, shoving through everyone. He stood there, back facing towards me. I took full grasp at his shoulder, turning him to face me. With that, I shoved my lips on to his without hesitation, the taste of vodka lingered from his mouth. His touch rested on my waist, my fingers trailing up his back and around his neck. I missed this more than anything, I missed him more than anything. The sound of our heavy breathing cancelled out the noise of everything else. It's as if, it was just him and I in the room. But it wasn't him and I.

I looked up at what I thought was Jungkook. And in that moment I knew I messed up.

I had kissed the wrong guy.
