7 Dreams Till Tomorrow

He wandered on a moonlit night... The air about him smelled clean and fresh-or maybe it was just his mind playing tricks on him again,..

Ian was used to it by now.. the nightmares.. they were ever so frequent ,,sometimes taking a different twist,, but they all turned out the same way.. and he always woke up the same way,... -drenched from his own sweat and breathing so hard his lungs would probably burst in the next minute or two .. but he was used to it by now.. there wasn't any feeling left at all ,..no fear or anger or pain, just an immense feeling of....  .. nothingness the dreams had gotten old on him,..

Ian sighed tiredly,.. "so what's it gon'be this time?" He said looking around him ,there were trees everywhere as usual.. yea' the trees always appeared in every dream ...later turning out to be a whole bunch of undiluted , cruel and scary mess.Ian scratched his head and looked around in confusion,.. just then he saw a footpath,. This was different,.. there were never any footpaths in the others,... With unsure steps he walked towards it.. when he got closer, he somehow just knew he should follow it.. he didn't know how..but he just knew he had to follow the footpath

IAN'S POV

I don't.. I don't 'think' I have any idea as to where am going.., I just kept walking through the path,.. the night had turned chilly and I'd started to regret going to bed on shorts alone.. who would have thought that I ll end up dreaming about walking in a bloody footpath on a cold bloody night!..
I sighed,. "I hated this, I hated the mess that was my life"

The path had started to become rocky,the trees fewer ,,the woods was insanely quiet with the sounds coming from the fireflies,.. and the owl hooting in a distance.. everywhere felt eerie and I started to have goosebumps.. I immediately quickened my steps .. walking faster and faster.. the rocky path became harder to climb , I huffed and puffed half jogging half walking until I came upon a mountain a long distance away..

"Wow!".. I stared in awe.. my mouth forming a big O'... This was weird Cathwood county was large but it in no way had mountain.. woods and lakes ok'.. mountains?? Yeeaaa' NO .. I looked back around me and saw nothing but a big bunch of darkness, I turned back and gazed upon the distance.. with a shrug I made my decision walking forward towards the mountain,.. the temperature was was dropping by the second and the air was becoming chilly..my feet was numb from the cold air,.. yea' I was barefooted.  -only shorts remember?? I got closer and began climbing huffing and puffing my way up,..

"It was beautiful" was my first thought when I finally got to the top. The view was breathtaking!.. I could see the woods in the distance .."if only I could dream about this place every night, it'd be ok.." I sighed settling down cross-leggedly on the floor, "life would be worth living again" I finally whispered

I'd been sitting for thirty minutes in my exact same position when I heard shuffling behind me,.. my blood immediately turned cold as I slowly turned around,.. there I saw a figure sillhoueted in a distance.. it was dark and fogged up ..I couldn't get a clear view of who ever it was,... Gulping down my initial  pang of fear I called out "hey!" ,, "It's a pretty cold night to be out alone, so technically.. uh'.. you shouldn't be here yea'??" ... I squinted and looked at the figure in the distance.. it didn't move,or make any attempt to reply me , instead it turned and started moving away ,.. and I -I swear I didn't know what prompted me- started following it

It turned and seeing me behind it ,, quickened it's pace,, I quickened mine too.. suddenly it broke out in a run, I chased it as fast as I could but it was fast, weirdly fast if I might add.. it was wearing a cloak so I couldn't get a clear view of what I was chasing,,the starless sky wasn't much help either.. I began to close in on it,.. stretching out my hand I immediately grabbed it and turned it...   What I saw made my heart stop
