Chapter 4

SO SORRY FOR THE LATE CHAPTER AGAIN! I'm just trying to juggle school and other stuff..but don't worry about me!//

「Shoto's POV」

Yaoyorozu and I made it into the line at this small food court. I looked around; There were grey tables and chairs scattered across, and a few people were sitting at them enjoying something small like a burger and fries, or a hotdog.

I looked ahead, and noticed a male who seemed shorter than me by a few inches with a lot of green curly hair. His hand was on his chin. He seemed to be mumbling about something- but I didn't catch it.

I realized it was his turn in line. Without hesitation, I carefully placed my hand onto his shoulder. He flinched a bit and looked up at me with a slightly confused and nervous look.
"Are you alright? It's your turn in line and you've just been standing here mumbling about something." I asked. "S-sorry for touching you." I apologized as I got back into line. 'Why did you stutter??'
He waved his hands around. "N-no, it's alright!" He said, walking towards the counter, stopping halfway. He had this look of fear and shook his head, then continued walking.

「TIME SKIP」

Yaoyorozu and I sat down at one of the tables. I glanced over at the boy from earlier; he was sitting at a separate table and appeared to be looking at me, but quickly looked down.

I looked over at Yaoyorozu. "Should we invite him over here?" I asked, motioning over to the boy.
She looked up from her sandwich and replied, "Sure, if you want to that's fine." I nodded and stood up from my seat, the chair making a loud screeching noise.

The boy looked up again and we made eye contact, activating a warm feeling in my chest. I got a better look at his features too; His hair fell over a pair of sparkly big beautiful green eyes. He had many freckles placed around his face, I'm not gonna lie..he is pretty attractive.
"I-I was wondering if you wanted to sit with us..since you seemed sort of lonely here." 'Did I just fucking stutter again-'
"Oh um..sure!" He said with a small smile, getting up from the table with his tray of food.
