That scene lots of people said it didn't add to the story i think it might add
I would've showed the scene of man of steel,Clark is a child and playing with his dog happy along with his parents and running to the mountain happy reaching to its top happy and smiling putting his arms besides him like Superman in comic with a zoom on his face and young Bruce Wayne origins just like the movie,i would've made it played back and forth and that shows what both heroes stand for superman: hope and optimism and batman:Gothic,dark,fear
