Chapter One

Anna couldn't believe it. She was going to meet Elijah in person!

He was her role model. And they were going to be friends! She was going to help him edit his videos. She was excited

He also mentioned she could help take care of Frank. She was excited for that too

As she pulled up to his house, she started to worry. "What if his brother Ethan doesn't like me?" she whispered. Then she realized that was stupid. It would be okay! (That's what her mom told her)

She got out and walked up. She knocked on the door. Ethan opened it. "Hello," he said. "Are you Anna?"

"Yes," she said. "Is Elijah here?"

"Of course. He's upstairs, probably talking to Frank or something"

"Okay!"

"This way," Ethan said, leading her in and up the stairs. She realized he left the door open

Ethan knocked on his brother's door. "Elijah!" he said "Get over here"

Elijah said something along the lines of "I'm busy go away ugh frank stop"

"Anna's here," Ethan replied ignoring what he said

It was quiet until Elijah opened the door "Sorry" he said to Anna then punched Ethan in the face. Ethan walked downstairs

"Come in," Elijah said. Anna looked after Ethan then followed Elijah into the room.

Frank was on Elijahs bed. Anna looked around. "It's so weird actually being in here," she said out loud. Elijah shrugged "It's just my room"

"What do you want me to do first?" she asked

Elijah smiled "Are you hungry?"

"I could eat"

"Okay let's eat something. then I'll show you what to do," he said. "Okay" she replied

They walked downstairs then drove to a restraunt

They ordered some food and started to eat. It was good food. Elijah was paying. "Thanks" she said "I owe you one"

"Nah" he said then smiled "Okay"

Anna laughed. They joked and talked a lot while eating. When they were back in the car to drive back to Elijah's house, he let Anna pick the music. She started to sing to the song

"You have a really good voice," he said in awe

She blushed "Thanks. I know you insult your voice a lot but I like it"

He looked ahead towards the road and mumbled something, but Anna saw him smile a little bit.

For the rest of the day, Elijah showed her around the house and his room. He showed her what she would be doing and helping out with. By seven pm they were talking to Frank when Ethan walked in and said

"Elijah you forgot to post videos today!"

"OH whoops!" he exclaimed and rushed over to the computer. Anna watched him post a video

Then he muttered something.

"What's wrong?" Anna asked, walking over to him. He scanned the computer screen. "Crap," he mumbled. "I forgot to film the second video."

"Can you do one right now?" Anna asked

He shrugged. "I can but I can't edit it too, I'm tired"

"I can" Anna offered.

"You don't have to"

She smirked. "Isn't it the perfect opportunity for me to test my skills, though?"

He thought for a minute; then he said, "Okay. Thanks, Anna. You're turning out to be a great friend." She smiled "Well, you're even funnier in person than I thought you'd be"

So Anna watched him film a Roblox video. It was weird watching it from the bed instead of from the camera.

Once he finished he relaxed on the bed on his phone while she edited it. "Tired, huh?" she teased. He laughed

She finished editing about fifteen minutes later. She walked over and lightly woke him up; he'd fallen asleep. He looked up. "Huh?"

"Come see it so we can publish it."

He looked through the whole thing. "Wow Anna this is great," he complimented. He adjusted a few things, and then posted it. He smiled. "You're a great editor"

"Thanks."

"Anyway, you should probably get to your apartment. I'm tired..."

"Yeah. Thanks for the food, and today," Anna replied.

"Don't mention it." He yawned and sat on his bed.

Anna walked downstairs and got all her stuff together. She was about to leave when Ethan stopped her. "Anna?"

She turned "Yeah?"

He rubbed his face. "Keep in mind that Elijah's my brother, alright?"

She nodded, a little bit confused. "Yeah, of course."

He nodded. "See you tomorrow."

"See you."

She walked back to her car. It was dark and cold. She sat down in the drivers' seat and pulled away, driving to her apartment. She felt confused. What had Ethan meant? Did he think she was stealing his brother away from him? She hoped not

By the time she got to her apartment, it was nearly 11 pm. She washed up and changed then lay on her bed. She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep, though confused; she was really tired.
