There once was a monkey, his name was Monkey Monkey and his last name was Banana. His Dad was called Big Monkey and his MaMa was called Lil Monkey. They loved Bananas so much that they changed their last name. It used to be Strawberry.
One day Monkey Monkey decided to go to the store. He wanted Bananas but not just any banana he wanted blue bananas. He looked and looked but could only find yellow, pink and purple. He didnt like those as much, his blue bananas tasted like blueberries and blueraspberries. He finally found some but they cost soo much more than normal bananas. He didnt have enough money, so he went home to ask his Mom, Lil Monkey. Lil Monkey wasnt home so he had to ask his Grandpa across the street. His Grandpas name was Old Monkey. Old Monkey was very grumpy and didnt like to bothered.
Old Monkey got very upset when he had to come outside of his tree house. Monkey Monkey asked Old Monkey for some money. Old Monkey gave him money but said he had to pick up some other things from the store for him. Monkey Monkey agreed and got the money. Monkey Monkey was so excited about getting his blue bananas that he forgot what Old Monkey wanted him to buy. Once Monkey Monkey got home with his bananas, Old Monkey was waiting for him. "where's my purple oranges he asked?" Monkey Monkey put his head down and had to tell Old Monkey he forgot. Now the stores were all closed and Monkey Monkey had to go ask the neighbor Monkeys if they had any purple oranges for Old Monkey. Monkey Monkey was very sad he couldnt find any purple oranges. Instead, he decided to find some grape jelly and put it in on the orange. He was soo excited to give Old Monkey his grape covered orange. He wrapped it in pink shiny paper and gave it to Old Monkey. Old Monkey wasnt happy about this. His hands got sticy from the jelly and he got Purple all over his beautiful white fur.
Monkey Monkey couldnt stop laughing. Only problem was that no one else was laughing. Ma Monkey was his grandmother and she came home later. Once she swung up from the vines she saw Monkey Monkey sitting outside the tree house and pouting. Ma Monkey asked what was wrong, and Monkey Monkey told her the story. Ma Monkey couldnt stop laughing either. She was grinning too, she knew that Old Monkey wanted purple oranges and she bought some just for him. She whispered to Monkey Monkey to give it to Old Monkey and cheer him up. Ma Monkey went inside the treehouse with Monkey Monkey. Once she saw Old Monkey all purple she counldnt stop laughing. Old Monkey didnt think that was funny. Ma Monkey told Old Monkey that Monkey Monkey had a surprise for him. Monkey Monkey gave his grandpa a real purple orange and he was very happy. He said he was still upset about being purple but his tummy was happy. Ma Monkey and Old Monkey hopped out the window and swung to their tree house. Lil Monkey said because Monkey Monkey made Old Monkey purple he was going to have to work at his house the next week...
