Taehyung sighed as he was watching his girlfriend; Jisoo packed her stuff as she decided to move out of their shared apartment. They argued last night due to Jisoo saw Taehyung was kissing a girl that he met in the night club.
"Wish I could rewrite history to a story where you stay with me." Taehyung was rubbing his temple with a sad expression.
"Don't say any word." Jisoo coldly remarked as she took her clothes from the wardrobe and folded it in her luggage. Her eyes still red and swollen because she cried too much last night.
"Babe... Is there any way I can change your mind about this? Please tell me what should I do to make you stay. I promise I will do anything to make you back to me." He grabbed both her hands and softly plant kisses on her hands.
Jisoo looked away as she tried to hold her tears. "Sorry, Tae, but I'm out of chance." She pulled her hands away from Taehyung.
"Don't do this. Please, give me another chance." He said with a sigh, running fingers through his hair.
"We always have excuses," Jisoo shook her head.
"I still love you." He sadly said while he stared deeply into her eyes.
"And I still love you. I always will. But I need you to let me go for both of our sakes." Tears burned her eyes and her lower lip trembled.
"I'm going to wait for you for the rest of my life if I had to." Taehyung remarked.
"No, Tae. These relationships never work out, so let's just save ourselves the pain and end it now." She closed her luggage and started to pull the luggage to the front door.
"Are you telling me that this doesn't hurt?" Jisoo felt a sharp pain in her heart as Taehyung stated that to her.
Jisoo inhaled and exhaled a deep breath before she went out of the apartment. She had to be strong and reminds her heart not to get back to things that had broken her.
After Jisoo left, Taehyung feels the house was bigger than usual and empty. Every corner of the house reminds him of Jisoo for every moment they had spent together.
"I promise you. This isn't how it ends. If this is the cost, I need to bear because of the mistake that I have made. I will chase you forever and trying to change our fate."

"Promises are the sweetest lies."
Jisoo POV
The last rays of the late afternoon sun fell slanting through Jisoo's window. The warm ball of light filtered through her thin eyelids awoke her. She blinked a few times, in an attempt to help her eyes adjust to the illumination directed right at her defenseless figure.
It has been a month since Jisoo back to her hometown. She lied to her parent that she decided to quit college because the major she picked was hard but the truth was untold. She wanted to quit on everything.
She stared blankly at the ring on her finger; it just a plain and cheap copper plated, the only ring that Taehyung could afford since both of them were still studying.
To her, it's not only a plain ring. It was more like a promise. Once, they were lying on the bed on Sunday afternoon, with their hand intertwined with each other. He looked into her deep brown eyes as he kissed each of her fingers and he told her, "I promise I won't ever hurt you." Jisoo swore that she could feel his sincerity.
Jisoo had thrown away the ring before at the park as soon as she wanted to get rid of each memory of him but the day after, it took a whole day for her to search the ring. She smiled bitterly how foolish she was.
Now, her brown eyes fill with tears convincing herself that her heart might never heal, all because of one broken promise.
