Living in Australia was just about the worst thing for a YouTube obsessed teenager, because seeing the only people who seem to truly understand you, and seem to always make you smile through a tiny screen, and knowing that they will never even know you exist is pretty heart breaking, because the people in your real life can never replace these amazing people who luckily for us only live on the other side of the earth. :(
The best thing about these people is that no matter how sad you are, no matter how bad your day, week, month, year, or life is, they can always make you crack a smile and laugh, and all you have to do is watch, you don't even have to say a word.
Whatever they do, whether it's gaming, or vlogs, animation, or parodies, we all love them for who they are, and they love us too.
It's these people who just by talking into a camera will make so many peoples days, and that's why they are amazing. But knowing that you will never meet these people sucks.....
And that's pretty much my life.
I felt the buzz of my phone in my pocket, I quickly removed it looking at the bright screen, and seeing a text from a friend, asking if I had seen Pewdiepie's new video yet? I replied with a no and kept walking.
She had skipped school today which meant she was able to watch everything before me, as most everyone I am subscribed too are from different time zones, I have to wait all day to watch their videos, which I find really annoying!!
I began to walk quicker now, remembering that a new episode of 'The Walking Dead Season 2' was due to come out today and I was really excited to see what happens next.
I looked at my watch, it read 4:17 pm, almost an hour since school ended, I hate waiting for my stupid bus.
My house came into view and I walked over to my mail box, I opened it and pulled out some bills, I didn't bother checking if there was anything for me, I never received letters. I closed the lid, and walked to our garbage bins grabbing them and walking down the drive way and past Dads Ute, I then left them in the back yard.
I walked into the house, taking off my school shoes and noticing a hole in the bottom, "I don't get why we have to wear school shoes at public schools" I said to the empty house.
My Dad walked out of the hallway and smiled, "because it looks more presentable??" He asked laughing,
"Well if we cared about how presentable wearing school shoes makes the school look then maybe we would pay the millions of dollars it costs to go to a privet school??" I added.
Dad laughed again, entering the kitchen as he did, "how was your day?" He said
"Boring Hayley wasn't even there today!" I replied.
"Got any homework?" He asked, as I put the letters on the kitchen table.
"No" I lied. 'I would do it tomorrow I thought to myself.
