Love can be a complicated thing. It can be a very beautiful thing, to have someone who loves you, gives you kisses, reminds you of how beautiful you are, and generally takes care of you. It can also break your heart, and give you more pain than you can imagine. It can cause you to self-harm, become depressed and many more terrible things over a break-up. At the same time, it can be confusing. You may not know what Love actually is. You may not know what it feels like to be in love. That was me, about 10 years ago. It started off with finding out my sexuality. I was dating a girl for a long time, about a year or so through high school. I thought i was in love with her. But when we broke up, i convinced myself that i did, and acted like i was heartbroken. After a month of sulking, i realised something. I never truly loved her. She was nice, but i knew deep down that i didnt really like her. We were both young and inexperienced, and it was a bad idea to ask her out in the first place. Then i started to have strange feelings i had Never felt before, about my best friend, Eddie Cardona. I began to question them when i was alone. It took me a day of school when i was ill to figure out what was going on.
I was Gay.
This came out as a shock to me, as i was convinced i only liked girls, but when the strange feelings grew stronger i knew it was the truth. I told myself not to tell anyone. Not anyone. Not my mum, not my abusive dad, not my cat, and certainly not any of my friends. Unfortunatley, this didnt work out too well. My mum found out, my dad found out (and kicked me out of the house), my cat found out, and all of my friends found out one way or another, exept for Eddie. I dont know how, but he didnt have any idea. Of course, my friends thought it would be a good idea to see if Eddie liked me too.By that time, i was almost in love with him.
