Scene 12
28 year old rishab was sitting in the balcony and viewing the sky ,admiring it’s beauty.
“Rishu”he heard his mother and looked at her
He smiled and radhaji sat down beside him.
“Rishu”she called again
“No mom..mot again.. how many times I had to say that I don’t want to get married”he said frustrated with his mother’s constant persuade.
“But …rishab you are at the age to get married…whats your problem..do you have any girlfriends?...do you love anyone?”she asked
That word dragged him to some memories and the face which was imprinted in his mind.she didn’t see her since last three years.she went abroad for her higher studies , leaving the park into a graveyard..he felt so.
“Rishu”radha jerked him out of his trance”what are you thinking…answer me”she said
“No mom…I don’t have any love affairs”he said
“then y don’t you ?”she said
“I am not thinking about a marriage now mom”be stood up from the seat and walked to his room.mohan saw his son dashing to his room furiously.he looked at his wife’s helpless face and her silent plea to talk with his son.mohan gestured her to calm down and went to rks room. He knocked at the door and pushed it open
“Rishu”he called
“Papa”rk said sitting up on the bed.mohan pulled a chair and sat down across rk.
“Why don’t you like the idea of getting married?”mohan asked
“I Don’t Know..I just don’t like it”he said
“There is anything we needed to know about?'he asked
“No papa…I swear,I don’t have any love affairs”he said
“Okay..”mohan sighed”you have any medical problems?”he asked
“What??”rk asked surprised at his father’s bold questions
“No…you know nowadays…males and males …”he couldn’t complete his word
“Papa…I am not a gay”hs said
“You have any other problems …like….you know,like….not able to perform…”Mohan said
“Papa…please…I don’t have any such problems..I am all okay and btw I can’t say it without performing with a partner ,right?'he said
“Yeah…yeah”mohan gulped with embarrassment.”but if you can do the other things …you are perfectly normal”
“papa…I am okay and let’s stop this …this is really embarrassing for both of us”he said
“Look,rishu, your mother is really worried about you..most of your friends got married and they are having their own family…”he said
“But papa”he said
“we are going to take the decision rishu..I think you will obey me”he said
“Papa”rk
“Do you have any concepts about the bride?”hd Sked
And then rk thought about madhu
“no”he said
“Okay then be ready to get married”mohan left the room
“why these parents want us to get married,what they get from this? I am confused”he said
