I looked towards Alex who was now looking at the floor.

"Yes we are." He said finally looking up.

"Are you sure?" Jack asked him confused.

"Yeah."

"Peyton?" Jack said looking at me for my answer.

"We're just friends don't worry okay." I said.

"You all know what would happen if someone touched her or did anything to her." Jack said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Peyton," he started. "I just don't want you getting hurt."

"Okay can we just keep playing?" I asked annoyed.

"Yes. Alex go."

Later on I went back to my apartment and found it empty. I walked down the hall to go into my room when I saw a note on the hallway mirror.

"Hey I went out with Landon. Be home late tonight or early tomorrow. Love you."

I reached my room and set my stuff down. I sighed and laid down. I soon felt my eyes get heavy and I fell asleep.

A few hours later I woke up to the doorbell ringing.

I squinted at the clock, 12:57.

I groaned and got up walking towards the front door.

I opened it and rubbed my eyes.

"Hey."

"Hey." I said surprised looking at Alex.

"Ah, can I come in."

"Oh yeah. Sorry of course." I said and opened the door farther.

He sat down on the couch and I stood in front of him.

"Listen, I'm sorry about earlier." He started.

"It's fine. It's not your fault Lex."

"Okay then." He said and stood up. "So would you mind if I did something totally crazy and stupid?"

"Ah no why would I care?" I asked confused.

He leaned in and kissed me.
