My day started like any other, "GET UP YOU LAZY EXCUSE OF A GIRL!!"
I woke up to my caretaker screaming threats into my ear, like any normal girl would do. I woke up. I looked at the clock above my plain bed in my plain room. Today was five fifty nine in the morning on a Monday.
Monday's are the pits of hell. I sighed as I got out of my bed and shuffled to my closet to change into a black leather jacket, my red t-shirt and blue jeans. My light blue eyes sparkled as I exited the room with a sigh.
My name is Destiny Pax Doe. Pax is my middle name and it would seem fitting as a last name, but I was found on the side of a street and brought to this he-I mean, Orphanage. I'm eight years old with dark black hair and light blue eyes that seem to glow. I also have a necklace that has a face on it. It was red and silver and I hid it since I first came here.
People steal you know. I put the only possession I need in my right pocket before I heard Miss Lancy, the caretaker, crack her whip once.
"DESPICABLE PAX GET DOWN HERE NOW!!" Ah speak of the devil. The caretaker. And she used that horrid nickname for me again.
~~~
I know I'm eight but when she put in me in the "box" first thing in the morning. You know your going to die. Since I'm the only child who can't seem to be adopted, I am usually in the "box" for a couple of months with no food and little water.
The "box" is a small room that looks like a jail cell, it has dirt which is the floor and mold on its wall and the door is barricaded on the other side with more than one lock. The room is wet and smells like pee, water trickles in from water buckets that are "accidentally" tripped over. There are some dried spots of blood and puke on the walls and small carpet that is riddled with bugs. Oh did I mention it gets very little sunlight?
I sighed as I uncover my secret hole, I didn't know what the time was when I was nursing my wounds that the caretaker inflicted which her barbed whip. The marks on my arms were small scratches now thanks to my fast healing gift.
I groaned as I jumped down and landed heavily on my weak feet. I walked out of my hole with some ease. I looked out and saw it was night, the moon was high in the sky and the stars twinkled in my eyes. I walked away from the orphanage gripping the necklace to my chest.
As I walked I put the necklace around my neck and kept walking, I didn't care how far I just needed to get away from her and those....memories.
As I walked I didn't realize I was on dirt road with nothing but boots. I also had one pair of hiking boots that I managed to hide from Miss Lancy. Thankfully I was wearing the, as I walked.
Then I saw headlights coming towards me at a very fast pace. I was in the middle of...no where. Who was driving at this time? Could they help me? No, all people try to hurt me, I'm rather die then get-
Wait that truck feels familiar. I paused as I was turning around, that peterbilt truck was driving down the road. Yellow headlights seem to take on my form before I screwed my eyes shut. I couldn't move. The truck lightly pushed me as it tried to brake, the push feeling like a tap pushed me to the ground. The truck paused as I stated at the grill. My mouth dropped, it had the same symbol on its grill like my necklace did.
I reached out to touch it, as my fingers reached my necklace some shouted, "DESTINY!!"
How did Miss Lancy find me this quickly?! I ran to the passenger side before ducking down behind the passenger door.
(Optimus POV)
I was taking a peaceful drive down one of Nevada's many dirt roads. I was driving slower than usual and it was because of what I recently discovered. A couple feet a head, my energon scanners picked up a small energon signature.
