It was finally lunch time which Darron and Autumn happily shared. Along with their friend Mya. Mya was probably one of the cutest people in the world. She was short, blonde, and bubbly. She always had a smile on her face and was always saying great things about her friends. Whenever Autumn found herself in a bad mood Mya easily turned her frown upside down. It was quite funny that she found herself hanging out with Autumn and Darron because they were both cynical as one could get, but in the end they were happy to have her around.
“Oh! And then on top of not getting my order right, he had the audacity to give me attitude! I marched right up to him and told him straight.” Mya ended her story with a “humph” and folded her arms.
“Remind me to have you around when I buy a car.” Darron said.
“Oh my god. If you act this way at Starbucks just imagine the possibilities. I’m sure you can get us all free Teslas.” Autumn added. “Hey do you guys want to hang out Friday night? Netflix, popcorn, the works.”
“Is Autumn asking us to hang out on a Friday? A party night? What happened to this woman?”, Darron asked with a faux panicked look on his face.
“Oh my. I think ninjas. Ninjas definitely. They kidnapped her and now theres this imposter sitting with us trying to conform.” Mya nodded with assurance. Autumn looked at her friends with a puzzled face.
“Or maybe she was drugged. This is Autumn, but someone messed with her coffee this morning and now her brain is turning into mush.” Darron replied.
“Or what if it was both! Ninjas took her away and drugged her. But they gave her back and now it is our mission to take care of her while her brain turns to mush and if we can’t then eventually the ninjas are just going to assassinate us all.”
Autumn couldn’t help but laugh at her friends. “Guys I’m serious. I just think we should all hang out. I think it’s been awhile and-” her explanation was cut short by a tall tan boy walking over and putting a piece of paper down in front of Autumn. They made eye-contact for a hot second and then he walked away.
“What was that about?” Darron asked.
“Great Scott!,” Mya laughed at herself before continuing. “That’s Scott Hoffman. He’s on the chess team. But anyway did you get my joke? Because his name is Scott and Great Scott is a thing to say when you are surprised.”
“Mya i’m getting stitches over here.” Darron replied with a monotone voice.
“Well I thought it was funny.” Mya humphed.
“Ok but seriously what does that note say?” Darron inquired. Autumn picked up the note and read it.
hey fall, friday night my place, blowjobs and pizza?
She quickly stuffed the note into her bag so her friends wouldn’t see it. “It said “Hey Mya and Darron why don’t you guys stop being so nosey.” Mya what else do you know about Scott?”
Mya quickly stopped caring about the note and started pouring out the flood of information she knew about Scott. Mya either knew everything about a person or had no idea they existed. When she did know everything about someone it usually came in handy. “So he’s on the chess team but during fall he plays football which I could care less about-,"
Darron cut her off for a grammar lesson. "Couldn't. You couldn't care less."
"Okay. Anyway. So he plays football. He has an older sister in college. She's super pretty. He likes to wear flip-flops. His favorite sports team are the Giants. Oh! He has a girlfriend and her name is Maggie. She's really pretty too."
Autumn didn’t know what this note meant. Well she knew what it meant as in it was pretty straight forward as to what Scott wanted her to do, but the strange thing was that she didn’t know who Scott was until right now. She lived in New York it was a big school. Why did Scott come to her? She wasn’t really the embodiment of sex. At least not during the day. In public. At school. Anyway, Autumn didn’t know what to do with this information. Someone had to have told Scott that they had a one night stand with her or something. It couldn’t have been Miles because then he would have admitted to cheating on his girlfriend. Autumn broke into a silent panic while thinking about the options. Someone was spreading her secret.
“Hey Autumn? You alright?” Darron asked while snapping his fingers a couple times in front of her face to get her attention. “Yeah. I need to go to the bathroom. I’ll be right back.” Autumn quickly got up making sure not leave her bag. She basically ran to the bathroom and crashed into a stall slamming the door. No one paid her any mind because people were always doing crazy dramatic things in bathrooms. She sat on the toilet thinking. She had no idea who it could be. She made sure everyone she had sex with was in a relationship. Unless someone didn’t care about cheating and just let her secret loose. But even then who would want to brag about having sex with a nerd like her. It was starting to look like Autumn had a mystery to get to the bottom to.
