A/N: Guess who's back? Back again? A failure that's who's back. Sorry for the wait but here's another chapter, that is mostly filler. See you next time!

"Flashback"

PERCY'S POV

It was already morning and I was in the Big House remembering the talk Chiron and I had earlier. "How come Kyle acts all pretentious? Did something happen to him?" I remembered asking. Chiron simply sighed "He wasn't always like this, in fact he was the opposite. When he arrived at camp he was being chased by the minotaur who managed to capture his mother, poor lad was distraught, thinking that his mother died. Instead of running to safety, that boy turned and antagonized the beast. He managed to outsmart it and, in the end, sent it to the depths of Tartarus. He later went on to retrieve the master bolt, which was stolen at the time and during the trip, he befriended Hades who had let his mother go. After that he went home during the fall and returned the next summer and everything seemed better for him but the quest he went on that time changed him." He said as he poured himself some nectar. "You see our protective barrier was poisoned and a group of other demigods were sent to retrieve the golden fleece which is located somewhere in the sea of monsters." "Yeah, the Bermuda triangle, I remember Hades talk about it." "Yes well, Kyle along with Annabeth and his half-brother Tyson-" "Wait? A half-brother? I thought Poseidon couldn't have kids." "He didn't, Tyson is a cyclops, but he has the mentality of a child. Back to the story, the three went to the sea where they found Clarisse, the quest leader and the golden fleece but along the way the group was separated. Annabeth tells me that she later found Kyle as a guinea pig, but she talked about how different he was. At the time I believed that Circe, the one who turned him into a guinea pig, casted a spell on him but his attitude became brash to the newer campers and he refused to talk to me about what had happened." He sniffled as if relieving a sad memory. "It breaks my heart knowing that one of the few good campers this world has seen turn into the very thing I promised to prevent."

I placed my hand onto the old centaur's shoulder in comfort as he stood up. "Promise me Percy that you will protect the group, even if the hunters give you a hard time. I cannot bare to lose another child." He said seriously as he looked into my eyes. "I promise."

I sighed while running my gloved hand through my hair. 'Still thinking about what the old centaur told you Percy?' 'It just doesn't add up, I mean Chiron said that he used to be happy, helped new campers and he even thought that his own mother died. It just doesn't make any sense for him to act like this.' 'Agreed, we should look into this.'

It was then that a knock interrupted our conversation and I looked up to see Thalia leaning on the door frame. "Chiron said that I'd find you here, c'mon, the other girls are waiting." To be honest, I was glad Thalia came along this trip since the hunters are... well hunters, Amber is there, need I say more? And Annabeth reminds me of the kind of people who will do anything to prove themselves, even if it means endangering the others. Plus, Thalia and I are wearing stylish leather jackets.

"Yeah, just give me a sec." I said as I stood up and grabbed a backpack that Mel gave me. It had ambrosia, nectar, a scroll and a small bag of drachmas. "Lead the way." While we were walking to the front of the camp, I noticed that Thalia kept fingering her watch in an almost comforting way.

"That watch mean something to you?" I asked. She widened her eyes before dropping her hand and look at me. "Uh, yeah it belonged to an old friend of mine." She said wistfully while looking to the side. "I get it, you don't have to tell me anything." She just nodded in appreciation as we got closer to the group who were waiting by a parked van.
