Mechanic's Choice

Chapter 2

        Later on I awoke to a wonderful smell coming from outside of the little room. I decided I was done sitting around doing nothing, so I started to pull myself off of the cot but when I stood up it felt like my whole body was burning up. The pain was almost intolerable! I shuffled over to the door and unfortunately for me someone else decided to open it before me causing me to fall forwards, but before I could hit the ground someone grab me all though none to gently causing me to cry out in pain.

        “I’m so sorry are you a-all right? I...I didn’t know you were right there,” Said the person.

        I shifted and got back on my feet before glancing at the person who had caught me. He was pretty cute with tan skin, long black curly hair and a set of goggles atop his head. “It’s alright you just startled me is all,” I smiled at him.

        “My name is Ussop and that’s great now come on Sanji wanted me to come get you for dinner,” He said grinning. He carefully grab my arm and led me to the upper deck of the ship. The ship was beautiful though a bit on the small side. The oak wood panels hadn’t been stained keeping the original look of the wood, the paint looked very high grade with a water resistant seal and a small bit of shine to it. Whoever took care of the ship put a lot of time and effort into their work, it made me smile that someone cared so much about their ship, especially since I came from a small island where our ships were our life lines. I blinked a few times when I saw the guy waving his hand in front of my face. I blushed when I realized I had been caught spacing out.

        “S-sorry what did you say?” I stuttered out of embarrassment.

        He huffed then smiled again, “I said were here.” He pushed open a door and a glorious smell wafted out on the breeze. He smiled again and led me over to the table. “Sit here I’ll bring your food over to you m’kay?” He walked over to kitchen area and then all of a sudden there were sounds of a scuffle and suddenly a blonde guy in a suite ran over to me carrying a huge tray of food and a bottle of wine.

        “Hello Miss my names Sanji and what would yours be?” He asked as he set all the food down in front of me.

        “Oh right I haven’t introduced myself yet have I?” I stated “my names Mizuki, Aria Mizuki and I don’t drink.” I stated pointing at the bottle of wine that he had set down.

        “Sorry Aria-chan I’ll go take this out to Nami-san and Robin-chwan.” He said with hearts in his eyes. As Sanji walked out Ussop reappeared from the kitchen mumbling angrily under his breath.

        “Stupid pervy cook… sigh oh well.” He looked over at me and the huge amount of food then proceeded to burst out laughing. “I see Sanji has greeted you with his normal enthusiasm huh!” He said between his laughter. I blushed and then cringed when the door to the dining room was kicked open and the rest of the crew proceeded to rush inside. Ussop sat down to the right of me and chopper came in and sat down to my left. Luffy then began to scarf down any food that was near to him, while asking me questions most of which I couldn’t understand.

        Just then a girl with orange hair came over and smacked him over the head, “Luffy don’t talk with your mouth full if you are going to ask Aria any questions then do it!” She yelled at him angrily. I didn’t know what to think I thought Luffy was the captain but to see him hit and yelled at by this women was very strange.

        “U-um how do you know my name?” I asked confused.

        “Oh that’s easy,” The women said, “Sanji here came out and told all of us your name.” She said matter of factly. Ah I’m an idiot I should have known Sanji would tell them. “Now then let me introduce you to everyone,” The woman said. “I’m Nami the navigator, that’s Zoro our first mate,” She said pointing to a man with bright green hair who was napping in the corner of the room. “That’s Robin our historian,” Nami pointed to the other woman sitting at the end of the table. She had deep long black hair and was busy reading what looked to be a book about the new world. “The skeleton is Brook and this is our captain Luffy, I see you already met Chopper and Ussop.” Nami said while pushing Luffy’s hand away from her plate.

        Luffy then began to ask me a ton of questions, “So where are you from? What kind of abilities do you have? Did you eat a devil fruit and get those wings? Can I tou-…” before Luffy could ask any more questions Sanji and Nami both told him to quiet down.

        Then Ussop who had been quiet through all this piped up, “I was going to ask you about your wings, did you eat a devil fruit?”

        “Actually no it runs in the family some get them some don’t, though I don’t normally like showing them off like this but I can’t tuck them away until there fully healed.” I didn’t really like being questioned about them.

        Luffy then began his questioning again, “So where did you live? Did everyone on the island have wings? Why were you out on that beach? Do you have any Siblings?” The last question just hit me like a ton of bricks and I couldn’t take it anymore. I broke down and began to cry and sob, unable to control myself I cried out my whole horrible story of that day. Flash back
