Neville is known for not being able to do magic, it's not his fault thought, Neville has the wrong wand. Why that? Well, he inherited his wand from his father he didn't buy one like every one else, But the wand chooses the wizard. In book 6 or 7 idk, his wand gets destroyed by a death eater, so then he went to Ollivanders to get his proper wand as he did not have before. And that's why we was suddenly good at spells. ( if you noticed that)
