"Yah, Jungkook-ah?" I called.
"Yeh?" He replied distractedly.
"Are you cheating?" I asked annoyed. "Because if you are, I'm going to whoop your ass."
"No hyung. Why would I need to cheat anyways, I'm the best." He stated while killing his enemies.
"Second best." Taehyung chimed in. "You have yet to beat me Jungkook-ie."
I rolled my eyes. I could practically hear the cocky smirk in his tone. It was true though. Our maknae was golden in every aspect, second to none accept when it came to gaming. The king of gaming was Taehyung-ie. With his innocent personality you'd never think he'd be such a good strategist when it came to gaming. But that was our Taehyung. Lately he's taken up more time focusing on his photography but his skills I gotta say this kid, he sure has some very interesting stories to tell through his pictures.
"I'm done guys. I have some other plans I have to leave for in a few minutes. Bye." I curtly said and ended my game. I shut off the computer and took off my headphones before their protests could stop me.
Walking over to my closet, I pulled out my balenciaga T-shirt and black pants. After a quick shower and head rinse I was all dressed with my new nike kicks. I put on my cap and headed out with my car keys.
I was supposed to meet up with my other friends today. We hadn't caught up in a while and it seemed that most of us were finally free to hangout right now. I drove to the karaoke place we'd reserved a room in and parked my car down the street. I put on my mask and sunglasses before leaving my car, I didn't really like being followed and having my pictures taken without my permission. I guess it was one of the downsides of being an idol.
As soon as I got in the place the manager directed me to our reserved room where I was met with two of my friends who were already there first.
"Hey guys!" I cheerily greeted them. They both got up and walked over to hug me. "It's been a while since we saw each other right?"
"Man we've all been so busy these days. It's nice to catch a break for once." Zelo chimed in.
"So who's hungry?" Hyerin asked. I chuckled.
"You're always hungry. Let's wait a bit for the others before we order anything." I suggested.
"Fine. You're right." She pouted. But I already knew she was itching to order take out right now.
"Hey by the way," Zelo pat my shoulder as we moved to the seats. "How's the preparations going for the comeback? You've been so busy lately, we barely even see you in the chatroom."
"I mean it's stressful every time," I nodded. "But we're getting through it for the most part. We still have to perfect the choreography a bit more but we still have a month so we'll be fine hopefully."
"Yeah...same here man." He nodded and took a sip of his beer. He offered me a bottle but I refused because my alcohol consumption on an empty stomach was a recipe for a boring night. Hyerin laughed teasingly as she took a few sips herself. A few minutes later the rest of our friends showed up one by one, Hyungwon, Zuny, and Jo Kwon.
"Sup guys." Hyungwon nodded. "I see Hyerin already started the party without us."
"Ayeee!" She picked up her beer and pointed it to them, then taking a sip. Hyerin has a good tolerance until she has two drinks too many and then it's like babysitting her the whole night. "I'm ordering fried chicken now."
"You do that." I chuckled. "Hey Jo!"
"Hey hope!" We did our little handshake from back in our trainee days. I've known this guy for a really long time now, we've been through a lot together. We don't hang out too much anymore because of our busier schedules and careers but we still keep in touch.
"So, uh," he nodded towards Hyerin. "She still hitting on you or...?"
"Me?" I snorted. Jo always thought Hyerin had a thing for me but he didn't know her like I did. She always was an affectionate person and sometimes could come off as flirty but she was a good friend of mine and nothing more. Besides, I had my eyes set on someone else for a while now.
"You can't be serious right now."
"I mean, she's always all over you and acting all cute and giggly. Can't blame a guy for noticing the signs." He had this look in his eyes that I hadn't seen in a while.
"Wait a minute..." I put my sprite down, and narrowed my eyes at him in a teasing manor. "I know that look."
"What look?" He said not looking at me still, rather looking over at our friends and more specifically a certain raven haired girl.
"You're jealous." I conceded with a smirk. "Look, I think you should go ask her out if you really like her. I mean, she's cute but she's not my type and I'm not hers either."
"Who said I was into her?" He scoffed but I knew he was interested.
"Trust me, we're just friends. She's just comfortable around me because we've known each other for a long time." I tilted my head and smirked at Jo. "Kinda like how I've known you for a long time, which is why I know when you're lying." I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Whatever." He scoffed and ruffled his hair before looking back at her. "So...should I like talk to her?"
"Hmm maybe wait a bit for her to stuff her stomach first. She gets hangry sometimes....it's a girl thing." I pursed my lips.
"Hey guys." Zuny walked up to us with a coke and a beer in her hands. She handed the beer to Jo who took it with a smile and turned his attention back in Hyerin's direction. "So what are you talking about over here in the corner?"
"Nothing. Just catching up." I feigned a smile at her. Zuny was a sweet girl but she'd had a crush on Jo for a while now and the only person who didn't notice was Jo himself. I frowned to myself as I realized the love triangle that was happening here.
"Why are you frowning like that hoseok-ah?" She giggled nervously.
"Oh no reason, anyways let's go eat some chicken. I'm starving." I pulled them to the small seating area to eat.
Uh oh...looks like trouble in paradise for hobi's friends.
