too soft, too gentle
-as she gazed across
the night sky,
she said with her lips
lifting a little,
but her smile even
sadder this time,
"he did not notice
the stars twinkle
ever so brightly
last night.
tonight, the stars
are long gone
and he finally realized
the dark sky is
pure of emptiness,"
then her smiled
turned bitter,
"i wish he would also
realize that my hand
is no longer in his,
and so is my heart."
