Chapter 1 Burning

~Kirishima's POV~

I was walking on my way to school and it was a new year. It was extremely cold because it was winter and I kept forgetting my jacket and I have forgotten it for almost every day of the week now which was super unmanly! I tried to create my sixth mental note to remember it next time. I slowly took a look at my wrist still seeing the same initials I saw every time I looked at it. The initials were a deep black the letters in bold 'KB'. 

I look up realizing where I was. I was on a familiar street I turned my head to the left and saw I was already outside the school gates. I walked through the gates and looked around and none was there to my surprise. I was used to hearing mumbles or at least some sort of sound but there was nothing just silence.

I heard a soft buzzing noise. I recognized it as my phone I looked at it and saw the time. It turned out I was here way too early than I should have been. Man, how did I not notice the time? I thought slowly forgetting the reason I was looking at my phone in the first place. I placed my phone back in my pocket and decided I would walk around for a while since I heard so early. I walked around aimlessly not paying attention to anything but the ground examining every detail out of pure boredom. 

I was walking down a hallway when I suddenly hit into something I looked up to apologize but paused when I saw what... No WHO I had crashed into. I stared at the boy unconsciously my mind went blank and my jaw dropped. I was snapped out of my daze when I heard him shout "WATCH WHERE YOUR FUCKING GOING SHITTY HAIR!" I felt heat creep up to my cheeks "Oh Bakugou I'm sorry man I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!" I said giving him my usual smile. The ash blonde walked away as he did I heard a 'tch' as he passed me. 

I replayed what just happened in my head. I slowly began to think about the features Bakugou has. His ash blonde hair was messy and his crimson eyes looked as if they were peering into my soul, he was wearing a black jacket over the top of his uniform and had his usual scowl. I snapped out of my thoughts from someone's hand smacking onto my shoulder. I yelp and turned around to see Kamanari. 

"Hey man you okay you seemed to be zoned out," he said with a hint of concern in his voice "Yeah I'm good I was just thinking," I said with a reassuring smile. He smiles at me "We should get to class" I looked at him a bit confuse and decided to check the time. I pulled out my phone noticing he was right the bell was going to go soon I looked at my notifications and noticed I got a text earlier from him asking where I was. I turned to him. "I just noticed your text sorry I didn't reply man!" I gave him my normal smile. "It's okay dude don't worry about it"

~Bakugou's POV~

I got into the school and walked down the hallway listening to music with my earphones in. I felt hit into something but it wasn't hard enough to knock me down. I look up, pulling out my earphones and see shitty hair in front of me. I saw him staring at me. "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING SHITTY HAIR!" I yelled at him. I felt a bit of guilt. 

What the fuck why do I feel guilty for shouting at hair for brains? I immediately pushed the feeling aside as I heard him say "Oh Bakugou sorry man I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!" I looked at him scowling. I started walking passed him saying a "tch" before walking out of his sight to my class. 

~Back to Kiri's POV~

I walked into class and looked around giving a slightly larger smile than my usual one. I saw Kaminari talking to Sero and Mina was looking around the room. She saw me and jumped up running to me and giving me a hug. "Hey Kiri!" she said smiling "Hey Mina," I say still smiling. I saw her about to speak again but Mr Aziwa walked in before she could. "Sit down," Aziwa said before rambling on about something. 

I wasn't paying attention I was still thinking about the initials. "You're all going to be paired up for this assignment" I heard Aziwa say before class finished. He read out all the pair but I didn't pay attention until I heard my name. "Bakugou and Kirishima," He said I'm paired with Bakugou? I thought curiously looking over at him and noticed he was already staring at me. 

He noticed I was looking at him and he turned his head. I saw a  deep red across his cheek before he turned around. Was Bakugou blushing? I thought before pushing the thought aside and shaking my head to get the thought out my mind.

Soon enough the day was almost over. I was about to walk out of the gates before I heard someone shout. "HEY HAIR FOR BRAINS WAIT THE FUCK UP!" I immediately recognized the voice as Bakugou's. I turned around and saw him walking up to me. "Hey, Bakugou!" I said maybe a bit too excited "We're working on our assignment at my house follow me" he said in a harsh voice but I just smiled. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me. 

When he grabbed me I yelped not from him but from my wrist, it felt like it was on fire. I tried hardening my wrist but it still burned. I realized it wasn't Bakugou using his quirk on my wrist but something else. I squirmed trying to get out of Bakugou's grasp. 

"Bakugou let go!" I half yelled in a panic. He let go and I was rubbing my wrist trying to stop the pain. "What the fuck?" Bakugou said the confusion in his voice stood out. "My wrist it feels like it's burning!" I said a little calmer but still in a panic. I was hyperventilating. I slowly tried to calm down I looked up realizing I was hugging Bakugou.
